I haven’t missed an A1 since 2007. This might be the first year I consider not going.

As a comparison, what does it cost to go to an outdoor national in the US?

General Admission?

VIP Admission?

Parking?

Are prices the same for every national, or do they vary geographically?

I don’t remember exactly what I paid for the national at Budds Creek in 2025, but it was probably less than $100 and parking was free.

4 Tickets to A1...front row section 4XX...great seats...see everything from the rail: $367.80

I bought these in order to see ALL the racing and to not have to scramble for industry seats.🤣

I haven't been to and SX since 2020 have they spiked that much?  Went to the Branson SMX that was a huge ripoff at $140 I thought.

I just checked, tickets for A1 start at $60 (+$18.80 fees).  If you ask me that is fairly reasonable, I dont see why everyone is complaining.  Plus they usually do a Black Friday discount code.

Ugh the prices are not great for sure or how much it has gone up over the years. But sadly everything In the world has gone up a crazy amount since 2020 so sx/mx isn’t any different. Everything just costs way more since then.

$20+ per ticket for “service fees” is straight robbery and Congress should do something about it.

Right…

I sneaked into the St Louis SX for multiple years (7 years +/-)

Just slip in the door where the fuel jugs are located and act like you know what your are doing and none of the St Louis police-people will mess with you.

Easy Peasy,

The cost of the seats are steep but honestly I’d probably still go. The reason I don’t is I’m a drunk idiot magnet so that money spent wouldn’t be for an enjoyable experience anyway. I’ll sit home, watch the broadcast on mute, and pray for Ricky to try nascar again.

I wanted to take my son to Pittsburgh 2 years ago, as I have been to a dozen or so SX/MX races.

Stadiums are cashless. Nope, won't go. Credit/debit card does not say official US tender. The Government says my paper money is good for all debts, leans, and purchases. Not giving up my God given Liberty to watch a race I can on TV. Hell the hoops I was going to have to jump through to get a physical ticket was enough bullshit.

Then the price of the tickets changing depending on how fast they are selling.

This !!!

More and more places going cashless sucks.

That's more and more places I/we will not support.

A local pizza place/pub that we've been going to for over a decade, recently went cashless.

Adios. Or Arivaderche as the case may be.

I agree 100%.

Took him to the Cbus zoo a couple years ago. To order food they wanted you to use a kiosk and no cash.

I raised enough hell they took my order face to face and allowed me to pay in cash. Will not go back.

Done with Great Wolf lodge also.

I write and call my State reps trying to fix this and get my Liberty back.

I'm getting married Dec 31, and convinced the fiance to honeymoon in thousand oaks that week. Just so happens there's a dirt bike race down the street. If we just did hotels, tickets, and flights, it would be $2500. Then do 1.4x that because we are Canadian.

Some people blow thousands on regular vacations, I would pay whatever it costs to go to Anaheim 1 for the first time. But I will enjoy it, and never do it again at that price.

Just a heads up, T.O. to angel stadium is 90 minutes on a good day, at the right time, if you get lucky with traffic. Not too bad, just be ready for a potential 2+ hour drive.

Enjoy it, and congratulations!

We’re planning on doing a family trip to the San Diego SX. It will be the first race I’ve gone to since 2017 when my oldest son was only 3 and my youngest wasn’t even born yet. I know it’s not going to be cheap, but at least we get to claim it as this year’s big Christmas present.

Remember how everyone kept saying we need to “grow the sport?” Well, the sport is growing and this is what unfortunately happens. We are still peanuts compared to NFL prices.

Buy Walmart plus and get Peacock for FREEEEEE!

If you must know I used Paypal to pay for Walmart +, but I have other options to pay Walmart.

At the stadium I do not have other options.

There also was the fact the price of the ticket more than doubled by the time Ticket master informed me of how to get the physical ticket as I do not own a so called smart device. I use a desktop with an ethernet cord for my internet. I am not addicted to the internet so when I leave my house or work, I do not have to drag the internet with me.

Kevin, you only didn't go in 24 because of the price, not because of no credit or debit card.   You even posted to others here...

Kevin, you only didn't go in 24 because of the price, not because of no credit or debit card.   You even posted to others here, how to get a paper ticket you have to show the cc or dc that you used to get will call tickets. So, I still don't buy the excuse of cash only.  Paypal is not cash only either. I even have a paypal dc.

I remember posting about that.

Price was a big part of it. As by the time Ticket master informed me how to get physical ticket the price had double from what I could have bought them with the early code I got from here on Vital.

The cashless was another part.

First time when to Anaheim was 1978, last one was 2019. The parking price is a ripoff and the pits are just a party scene for the masses, not the core fans. Even endurocross tickets are getting expensive. 90$! But parking only 10$ or free if get there before 3.

If gas was 1.16 in 1983, then a $18 ticket is a ratio of 15 times the cost of gas for the premium seats.

The same ticket area today is roughly $140, before taxes. Price of gas in socal today is 6.90/gallon.

Todays ratio is 20 times the cost of gas for the premium seats. So factoring in inflation based on gas (which is a much more accurate reflection of the price of goods/services) tickets have gone up over 5 times more than they were 40 years ago.

Yeah - but you couldn't watch deegan 40 years ago (had to).

We're likely on the verge of a big recession. Too many people living beyond their means, loose financial lending, and disparity in wages.

Here's to hoping we dont pull a Rome jn 1/5th the time.

I had two club tickets for SX in Pittsburgh in 2025, pretty sure I paid like $300 total for both tickets. Looking at the same tickets for 2027 and they're showing $400/ticket, wtf.
