I think that he did a couple of races into his 19th season.
link that ML posted in the first post of the thread.

I think Barcia on Titty Twister Suzuki and Rick on Ducati is how things are supposed to be anyway.
Right, and where/how does this answer my questions about his helmet/goggles?

I thought you were asking about his gear. Sorry
This bike looks 10x better with the different rims.

The wrecking crew lol.
Yes. But Barcia wasn't with them in 2018-2020
Didn't Barcia almost retire about 5 yrs ago when his contract with Yamaha ended?
Astar helmet and goggles too
Think he's 36? next year. Times sure have changed.
Fox Helmet and Fox goggles🤷♂️
Looks like he'll be in the SM10 and Supertech goggles.
Barcia is 34, and will turn 35 during the 27SX season
Roczen is 32 and will turn 33 at the end of the 27 SX season
Anderson is 33 and will turn 34 during the 27SX season
Hard for the pros to set up
First Look 👀 Justin Barcia Back on Suzuki
Pit Row
Can’t actually remember.
I don’t remember him actually saying he wanted to retire, but he may have said something about if he didn’t get a top tier ride he would retire.
I’d just like to toot my own horn and mention that I suggested Alpinestars in the thread about what gear he would wear. It’s not a surprise they are back together, outside of the fact that half the gate wears Alpinestars they clearly had a good relationship. Barcia was one of the first guys to wear their gear in the US and did Monster Cup one year on a bike with Astars as seemingly his only sponsor. Tomac retiring most likely frees up a decent bit of their budget, too, which I’m sure didn’t hurt their decision to sign him.
I believe when Barcia was without a ride at one time he bought his own bikes and rode a couple rounds that way, maybe 8 years ago or so.
While this sounds nice... Kenny's bike is notoriously difficult to ride due to his setup. But man, how cool is it to see the resurgence of Suzuki
Barcia looks like he was itchin to get on the bike and start riding.
I feel like the team is the perfect setup for the older dudes. Probably feels good to hop on a bike that’s been tested for years and just practice to race, no more or minimal testing required. No more bike refreshes every 2 years after you just start getting comfortable with the current generation. These dudes don’t have any more time to keep playing test rider and searching for better setups
Is he able to kick start his own bike? Seems like a lot of Vet riders cant ride without e-start?
Would love to know if there was any talks between Chase and Popes cause this would have seemed like a no brainer to me.
I’ve never not once read or heard this.
it's pretty well known and documented how soft Kenny runs
Soft classifies it as hard to ride though?
Like it can be a bit stiffer and easy to ride. If it went too far the other way it might get harsh... but if anything that says he has more window to come back to what someone might need.
Hard to ride sounds like nasty power delivery, unbalanced suspension setup, or super weird ergo setups.
Kenny's bike might be softer, but it looks pretty conventional and his wrist control might be good but I don't think he's finding traction like he does if it's some lightswitch engine either.
