Honda has both Lawrence’s which makes both Lawrence’s better. They ride with the best rider out there everyday.

Sexton to star would definitely help both him and Deegan. But then you also have Davies eventually coming up, not sure if they could swing all 3, but maybe?

Could be a one year deal. Could also be a year at club mx then on Reed’s team in 2028. I think Star and the Deegan show would be a mistake for Sexton. I doubt Davies will be able to stay on star long with Deegan there once he goes to 450. Too many roosters in the hen house.

Idk I think it could be a solid move. I don’t see star putting up with either of their antics. They both are missing a training partner to truly push them out there. Look at hunters improvement. He’s insane now because he’s riding with the top guy daily.

Chase is 27 and we all just seen a run of some of the oldest title winners in SX history between Webb, Tomac, and Kenny. I think he’s just fine as far as talent and fitness go. How fast people forget he was Jett before Jett.

Chase has never ever been Jett. Not even close. He needed a bit of luck on his side to win consistently any year he has raced.

Club almost got Barcia last year.

Have to think Yamaha would chip in.

Does Chase have an individual Monster deal or is that through the team? Likely some budget reallocation could sweeten the deal.

If it was all about the money Chase would stay at Kawasaki.  See Prado for example.

Roczen won 2 titles on what some would consider "B-Level" teams. Webb just signed with a B-level team, although in the twilight of his career. Maybe that's what Chase needs: the ability to make his own decisions with his bike, to realize that it's not always the bike..

he's had a lot of crashes too. Some weren't too bad, but it's a cumulative thing on your body. Football players and even soccer players have really high rates of concussions that can be damaging over time and not always obvious. It might be a good idea for Chase to get tested for that and maybe PTSD as well using abundance of caution before returning to racing. CTE is a big deal too, but you can't test for that until after death.

Not necessarily.   His base Kawi salary might not offset a lessor deal if he was actually winning and collecting bonus' and championships.

You would think Star Yamaha would bring sexton on to teach Jcoop how to ride whoops.

Doesn't the owner get his money form car dealerships? If so his budget is shrinking as car sales are shit right now

I think Chase is one of the least money motivated riders who are at the top level.

The 450 side is paid by yamaha not star and Bobby’s dealership.

If I was in his situation, I would be worried less about the $ than proving he is 100% healed and past the injury thing. He has 2 yrs left on contract and there's a perfect opportunity with a brand new bike waiting for him to try to gel with. Just ride the bike and collect your paycheck. If he puts in a solid effort and stays healthy other teams will notice. If he actually likes the bike and does well he has another paid for season with no worries and ups his value. If he hates the bike but finishes the season on it without throwing everybody under the bus, he could probably negotiate an early release from the last year and take his chances elsewhere.

If it's Star, then Chase is most likely getting the prove-it deal that Webb got when he went back, and he'll still make a decent chunk of change from his personal sponsors.

It's not like riders a the very top have been raving about the Yamaha. If the bike is purely the problem going to Star seems like a shot in the dark. The new Kawi might be great...  If there are team issues, then that's another story. I hope he's happy however this plays out and it works out for all parties involved.

What’s the indication he’s going to Star?

When I saw him leave the Kawasaki he was limping off afterwards.

Ask Tim Gajser how good that yamaha is … i don’t think chase going to yamaha is going to solve any of his problems.

I don’t think Chase would respond well to being bullied by Bobby at Star.  Dudes already so hard on himself, I don’t see that making anything better

It was the power wheelie on the on-off before the finish line that did it for me.

Or getting bullied by Deegan. Like him or hate him that is not the camp you want to be around if you are struggling mentally lol

Right. I feel like that’s the most toxic environment. It’s definitely a put up or shut up situation. It could be what him and his dad need though, especially if there are team mates doing well on the same bike. It seemed to go pretty well for Eli without drama.

Star will go to the ends of the earth for a rider when they are searching, or cut them off when it’s too much it seems. But they are also burning through team personnel.

Big call whatever Chase decides to do. He is an incredible rider when he is on. And I love his honesty in interviews.

I agree on the riding part, but two huge egos in one truck wouldn’t stay good for long.

I wonder how bad chase wants to punch matthes in the face RN.

There's a not 0% chance that chase is his source of information on chase.
