The whole property is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. This is what pro SMX should look like. JMO. How do we get more?

If thunder ridge is on the schedule next year I will be looking into making the trek from California .
lol to see vital shift it’s tune after one week is pure gold.
because it shifted from a short bad sx track at a small venue to a unique stunning crazy venue with a true hybrid track in one week u mean? lol
It didn't produce any better racing. Kind of stable gaps. The ones not willing to risk it ends up 10-20sec behind because of the penalty of pushing.
The more difficult track, the less they can hang it out.
Looks great on TV, but last weekends racing was better.

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
This one looked great but raced bad.
One decent track out of three isn't a great percentage either
well yes, thats why this thread says "we need more of this". Looking at SMX as a whole this year it was just a disappointment. They all need to be hybrids. And get rid of long sweeping sections, its not a secret it provides just one racing line. I wonder why they keep doing it
The riders liked the track, but like Roczen said in one of his interviews, it was too easy, allowing riders to all go close to the same speed. It's not that there wasn't places to pass, it was difficult to simply go faster than someone else. Once Deegan showed off the triple in to the SX section, which was an advantage, the top guys all picked up on the line. The combo exiting the SX section was probably the most passing on the night... I really thought the sand rollers would be where the action was and it just didn't play out that way.
Still, will do it again if they come back. Johnny Morris seemed to like having us there.

Would still love to see them do one of these SMX races at an outdoor track where you can get some natural elevation change to have a true hybrid track. This track was fast, but at the end of the day it was still a flat layout and heavily leaned toward easy sx. That said, this was far better than the other two races, but like other said, it didn't race well.
Cool venue, bad track design. But that’s okay because you can change the track design. Though it feels like a shame to go to all these places that only seat like 20,000 people.
The venues have all been pretty good up until this year. Hopefully it was just exploration of new markets vs cost-cutting. If the latter, it's more likely to continue.
They need to do at least two speedways, and one "special" track like an LA Coliseum or Daytona for this series to live up to expectations.
Full schedule comes out next week?
*Not bashing on Missouri. This was a good one compared to the first two.
Same thoughts. I'll be looking into going next year, but I imagine it will be very pricey. A suite at St Louis is relatively affordable, I imagine the upper suite/bar area is 5x as much, then the cost of staying at the facility will probably put you close to $2k for the weekend.
Could it hurt you to smile? You were at the freaking races!
Philistine.
Pros: The property looked amazing. Parking was free.
Cons: Not enough restrooms. Not enough concessions. I only saw one place to buy event shirts and they were sold out of everything except the generic SMX Playoffs stuff. (I didn’t go to FanFest, I’m sure there was more there.) Leaving the race was rough. We walked a long way but got out to the highway in about 30 minutes once we got to the truck. Spoke to someone at my hotel this morning who said it took them 2 hours to make the 4 mile drive.
Edit to add: I think it would be really prudent for the promoter to add a strong shuttle service from a designated location in Branson. Kind of like what they did for Vegas in the past. The shuttles and huge parking lots already exist in Branson. Even if 5,000 fans went in/out using the shuttles it would have made a huge difference.
They can tweak the track. The venue was great (from a TV viewer perspective).
They should do one at an amusement park 🎡
It's coming
Pit Row
Let the good time roll. 🤣
Fair enough… it wasn’t until this morning that I noticed that photo was my resting bitch face. 😆
Lew’s news said on Saturday it was a 4 year deal there now, through 2029.
@dirtman1 call up Six Flags and make it happen. Hopefully we get people swimming in the pond again.
The venue will be part of the SMX schedule for the next three years.
With Johnny Morris, it will be bigger and better next year! Wouldn't surprise me to see them bring in a ton of stadium seats to add capacity. Trying to get food was horrible, but that can/will be fixed next one too!!
Not sure it would work, but people that are complaining about wanting to see elevation... there is PLENTY of it there. However, then the same ones complaining about wanting elevation would complain that you can't see the whole track at one time...
It would for sure be cool to see more venues like that being used. I thought it was pretty epic, imagine the same track layout but with SX obstacles. Also I thought it was the perfect venue as a send off for Tomac.
