Triumph's bikes have almost the same geometry as the KTM, yet no one seems to care. The new KX 327 has an almost identical engine to the KTM SX 300, not to mention they copy the seat mounting system, air filter, airbox, etc. So what's your opinion on that?
Probably historical Chinese quality. Or lack thereof.
The triumph frame looks suspiciously similar to the aluminum frame ktm was testing several years ago.
Taking inspiration from something is different to copying. The jhl bikes do look very similar to some KTM’s. It’d be interesting to know how they differ internally if at all.
In the end though if they are solid bikes and they are cheaper isn’t that what everyone has been yelling at the clouds about for years?
ZXMoto now has Skyler Howes on a factory effort for Dakar in the Rally GP class along with Tobias Ebster in Rally2. Can't fault them for not being ambitious.

They have been doing that for weeks now. Lommel, Berghem, you name it. Tyler Eltink is testing the 450 as Chris Mills and Jean Visser did for the 250 the past months.
Don't discount the Chinese. Just look at eMTB. Specialized basically invented the entire category. The Chinese started with cheaper copies, but now they (Amflow) are completely out-innovating all the big manufacturers. The Chinese innovate extremely quickly while many Japanese and Western companies are OK to just milk existing designs with BNG, minor updates. Just like KTM disrupted the Japanese bikes (that lacked innovation), the Chinese bikes will disrupt motocross. And just wait until they start producing very capable electric dirt bikes for 5k. Its game over...
