Are you new to the sport? AP came into the 450 class after winning 250 sx and 250 outdoor titles......just like Deegan.

Yes 1-1 is the new normal, get used to it.

I think this win builds confidence (and moto has a strong mental side)..but let’s see what he does on a dry track before concluding this…

Great win for Deegz! What I'm more afraid of is him winning the SMX title and having to hear his casual fans say hes a 450 champion now. FOH with your gimmick championship. The 3 races are fine. If we didnt have them I would care at all. Im glad the riders get a payday

I was waiting for him to say something silly but he was actually even likeable haha so hopefully all that other unneeded shit is just a character he leaves behind (IMO)

He knows it was a mud race and anything could have happened. Once he wins a dry race he will be back

0-22, 38 seconds back was posted in every thread this summer. Now it’s no big deal that he won? A muddy SX main event is one thing, but to go out and do it twice on the same track as everyone else, with an average lap time of 17 seconds faster than the guy that beat you all summer and narrowly missed the SX title is damn good.

Deegan himself acknowledged that it was a mud race, but he and Kenny put a whoopin on everyone yesterday. Good thing the motos were shortened, he would have lapped up to 3rd place.

U just proved it was a win with a *. You think deegan is 17 seconds a lap faster than Hunter on a dry track? Getting lapped in a mud race means fuck all

Then why do people still talk about RC at spring creek 2006? Gate dropped at the same time for everyone else. No * in racing.

Forget about Ohioan rednecks, it's the rich kid from Southern California that's the best mud rider.

This pic just cracks me up. Two guys in suits and one guy just covered in mud chatting like no big deal LOL!

Its a narrative they try to push from a broadcast standpoint..... they loved saying heath Voss was a world sx champ in 05 when he was no where near a contender in the ama series.

Hunter said it himself “ I sucked out there today”

Deegan stepped up and laid wood to everyone.
Love him or hate him, you can’t take that away from him.

It's an Exhibition Mud Race win. A win nonetheless, but we all know not the same as a 450SX main or an Outdoor National. Not even close.

Don't forget over 17 seconds both moto's over 2nd place.  First race he was 35 seconds over 3rd place and and the 2nd moto he was 54 seconds over 3rd place.  Sorry but in supercross, that's total domination. He beat the latest 450 champion by around 2 1/2 minutes in moto one and close to 5 minutes in moto 2.

Want to bet he doesn’t win the overall on Saturday? We can use “rabbet.” I’ll match ANY price you want. On that app we can set whatever bet we want and I can invite you. We both deposit the money before it’s official

He did what he needed to do, good smart ride from him! The points are close with Prado leading by two. Even Hunter only 10 points back so going to be good racing next two rounds.

Not hating on AP but it seemed to me like he got almost as much TV time as Deegs and definitely more than P2 and P3 in either moto.  Good for him I reckon.

I’m trying to be entirely objective here, but Deegan talking about how strong he is in the post race presser and I watched him dumbbell Benching 40s per hand in a video this week.

average teenager who goes to the gym for a year or two is throwing around 70-80s.  I know these trainers may not prioritize strength but lots of these dudes (aside from Kenny and Sexton ((Peter park)) are not very strong overall.
