I see they are selling chairs now when the venue states no chairs with metal allowed.

So can we bring our own with metal?

Big money day for scalpers. They can sell tickets and chairs!

This is some Grade A bullshit if they don’t allow you to bring in a chair but have them for sale.

I can already see it now. People will be staking down their chairs before the races and holding their spots. If I see an unoccupied chair I’m sitting in it and claiming it as my own.

No metal music either, they’re cracking down

Must be a big venue, or maybe that’s how much $ they’re trying to make ?

Imagine spending $5k between travel, accommodations, tickets, fees, food, etc., etc., and then 15 + 1.

$472 for a race in a tackle shop parking lot in the lowest median income state in the nation.   What the fuck happened to this sport?

To be fair the $472 is in a resale site. The Center Hill tickets were originally like $30 more than other tickets. I got 2 of them when they were on presale back in January or February.

Edit to add: I checked my receipt. Center Hill was $100 plus fees and total at $146.75

Looked like $130 per for GA on Ticketmaster (plus fees, no doubt).

Makes more sense.

It appears to be a venue policy that outside chairs are not permitted. Ridiculous

Imagine there being biblical rain, which there is certainly a good chance at for misery in late sept.... 😊

As a convenience to SMX fans, Feld is letting SMX fans know not to bring their own chairs, coolers, hats, umbrellas to the race.

Instead, SMX fans can easily purchase these SMX branded items at the race to make the SMX experience more enjoyable for everyone.

Happy SMXing!

Somebody on Reddit called the venue and confirmed that if you pick up your SMX chair on Friday you can bring it back in on Saturday. Which led me to think that if you have any purple camping chair (which can be bought at Academy for $7) they won’t know the difference.

I’m going solo and leaving my wife and son to do things they would rather do on Saturday afternoon/evening. I’m not doing the chair and will sit on the ground before I buy one of those fucking things. I’ll wander and watch races from the Center Hill section.

Also has me thinking about if the spectator area is on a hillside…won’t the chairs be unlevel? How pissed are they going to be when engineer minded moto fans start digging little gopher holes to level their chairs out?

Also my Center Hill ticket specifies NO CHAIR. I wonder if it’s a GA only thing? Anybody else see that on their ticket?

Making Peacock seem like a really good deal. Plus I can see it better on tv. 😊

You guys forgot to honor Monster Energy. It should be "Monster Energy SuperMotocross, brought to you by Monster Energy is letting Monster Energy SuperMotocross, brought to you by Monster Energy fans know not to bring their own chairs, coolers, hats, umbrellas to the race."

But are they purple?  For the safety of others all chairs must be purple.

I’ll take SW Missouri over DC any day.

That being said, I live 45 minutes from there, and I’m not paying those prices. Luckily, I have to work.

I'm really curious if we could just sneak in purple ones I can't imagine they are gonna look that close.  Yes this is robbery though.  We are going this year but I have a feeling it'll be the only year.

Shouldn’t be too difficult to apply something resembling that logo on a standard purple chair…
