If I remember correctly, Motodrive was still operating for a year or so after Gibby announced started Vital. So both were running. At some point he announced the sunset date for MD.

Somebody will have to put all this in order. I came over when Bauer and ??? were having a big fuck you fight and it spilled over onto Proride where I was. That was before FreshDirt. Not sure what year but I believe it was a yellow board. The guy he was arguing with was from Florida and it wasn't RC16 that time. CR250guy? Anyway I was Ivan in those days until Nerd clicked me in 2009 I think. Proride started up in 2001 and I had only been on there for a few months.

As I recall, Gibby told him there was nothing that could be done to fix it. At the time, I thought it was some kind of "April Fools" joke on those of us that got reset to 4/1/2008.

Its been a while. I think I need a new mouse. I remember the day it happened that I was so disappointed because I always started typing Motodrive into my browser and it would take me straight to Moto section. For years, M O enter. Then one day, it just didn't work. It had already been Vital for years but the Motodrive.com URL still worked and I still used it. I can't help but have this image of the Vital team clicking away one day and said " Hey, we still have one dumb ass logging into Motodrive", "Shut that shit down".
I was a nobody on MD when I was a college dropout working parts department at a now closed Yamaha kawasaki Suzuki dealership real close to sexton's hometown (shoutout the original first avenue giesen's replaced by a burger king and the big new place on rt. 30) took a nearly 2 decade hiatus before coming back here when the academic grind calmed down a little. My join date here is literally the same week I graduated med school. Must have been searching for that old flame. Still beats social media comment sections. I maintain that not much has changed and those who think it has have just gotten older and don't have the stomach for it anymore, but I could be wrong, have always remained anonymous and didn't have the off board relationships a lot of you did.

My OG account got booted when they employeed Ping.
There was something going on and Ping was being an absolute flog and everyone was piling on him.
GuyB banned me and email me about my conduct.
I said look at Ping look what he's saying it's a dumpster fire.
He said but you're fueling it. Which I was but it was all Ping being a flog.
Ping was sacked the same week and my account never come back.
If anyone couldn't read at room it was GuyB what a wanker, fancy employeeing Ping when even before he was working for Vital MX he would come in here and be a condescending wanker to us all.

There used to be a good forum in the UK, I think it was called MX Talk, or something like that, was pretty good but didn't last. Props to Vital for keeping a MX forum alive and giving us a space other than shitty Facebook groups to talk.
