It's all ifs and buts - but the race was Reed's until the he got caught outside Blose. Then they came up on Regal and I thought, here we go again. Sure enough James came in hard and after that anyone had to know the gloves were off. Call Reed's move dirty if you want but whoever was .4 seconds behind on the last half a lap of that race was going to give up their Nobel peace prize to win.
Anyone who says you WOULD NOT do the same is lying or a pushover given they were in the same position Chad was in. Enough with all this BS and acting as if you're on one of these guys' payroll for being a fan, just keep the hate between the 2 guys giving you something to watch!

As far as JS being able to clamp on the binders and avoid Reed I do not believe that JS but see him until after he was on the gas, now I am not by any means a "fast guy" at my track and I have been passed on the inside by faster guys and when its not busy I know they are coming and I try my best to stay out of their way but sometimes I don't hear them coming and I know in my helmet there have been times that I have not seen someone until they have already passed me so my opinion of JS not being able to see Reed is based on that experience. Another part of that is these are not stock bikes, obviously we all know the power that these bikes put out and have to understand that once James got on the throttle it takes a lot to slow that bike back down he would have had to shut the throttle off, grab the front brake, and slam on the rear brake then allow the bike to slow down, now assuming they are traveling at 18MPH (which is not a crazy speed for these guys even in a turn) and were 15 feet apart when James saw CR and was already on the gas then James would have had to react and do the above steps in less than a second in order to avoid contact and I believe human reaction time is some where around half a second. So if you look at it like that the chances of JS being able to avoid that collision are just unlikely, this of course is just looking at what happen, should James have been anticipating a move like this from anyone on the last lap after a heated battle? Yes, I think so but he didn't protect his line, Reed came FAR inside and there was contact. In my opinion Reed made a very weak attempt at a pass but a very successful attempt at a take out and managed to do a great job of costing himself points.
I don't feel that these kind of passes have a place in our sport, taking someone high in a corner or taking a line away from someone are understandable and part of racing but this was not a pass, it looked to me like a take out. If our sport is going to become blatant take outs and hard collisions every week then guys are going to start getting hurt (yes I know JS has caused collisions, crashes, and injuries to other riders, his actions in those instances were not excusable either). Rubbing is racing but what Reed did in this case is not racing and does not belong in our sport anymore than people who cheer when riders crash.

In regards to wind tunnel ( the topic of this thread....)
I thought it was a GREAT interview! Showed JS in a very positive and professional light. Great works James!
Signed : A fan of the SPORT!
James' hypocrisy has driven me to Reeds corner.
I have been publicly supportive of James this season... up to this point. I find this extremely hypocritical of him, considering the aggressive riding he dishes.
