I find him to be an interesting character and have no doubt that he is a superb team manager. Still, I think he is fairly inept at dealing with fans, and undermines their importance to the success of the sport. Hint: It's everything.

He should have just stayed away and never bothered, then his management skills would never have been blasted on Vital.

Isn't it odd that the only manager that gets blasted on Vital is LB, maybe because others stay away instead of trying to interact.

Don't know him & it doesn't really matter. My perception is he's far from the best Team Manager. He has successfully hired established champions & helped carry their careers. MC, Bubba & JS were all winners & @ the top of their game before they landed with LB. IMO everyone of them also rode better on other equipment, other than what LB provided. McGrath was better on the Honda both before & after he rode the Yamaha. Stewart does not look as good on it as he did on the Kawasaki. But, these riders talent are so much greater than their competition that even with a less than stellar set-up, they are still better than their competition. Reed always complained about set-up there & I can't remember Stewart ever having such set-up issues at Kawasaki.

IMO, the best Managers can provide the best equipment, assistance with set-up & develop talent into a champions. LB doesn't fit those, he's provided equipment satisfactory for existing champions to win. Mitch Payton & Decoster (& maybe even Stanton) are leagues ahead of LB.

I know some people take stabs, but the majority become kiss ass brown nosers. Take DV for example, likable but known for not testing / practicing & generally one of the lazier riders. He comes on here & everyone is instantly his biggest fan, at least until he screwed over one of his riders.
