I’m legitimately curious as to why anyone would select Beaumer over Kitchen or Hymas? Barcia is interesting, but I think I would still go Marchbanks, Hymas and Kitchen.

MXON should be a completely non-profit event. All money earned by the event should be distributed to each counties motocross communities.   Organizations that provide gear, training, and services to kids getting into the sport would be awesome.

I totally get and understand what Rich Simmons is saying.

Also remember the Euro is worth considerably more than our Dollar -  so 25K USD is only  roughly 21K €, so most everything on the trip costs more.

Fuel is roughly 8-9 dollars a gallon there as well RN. I travel in the EU a fair amount and the costs are just insane as compared from last year.

Setting up one rider like Deegan, even if he doesn't get paid, takes hours on the Dyno, fuel and sound testing, crating, shipping two bikes, hotels, renting stuff from Kemea  like vans and buying race fuel.

Add in hotels in France and food, and Deegs probably wants someone to pay for his family and crew to fly Business I'm sure, airfare is 7-10K for a RT ticket for Business Class on Delta or American or KLM.

In addition Deegs and other team riders have to buy special supplemental medical insurance policies because his Blue Cross PPO or whatever he has won't work in a French hospital.

The promoter InFront is the one who benefits from the USA versus the world thing, so Dan Loungo should be footing this fucking bill to get Team USA to France.

IMO the USA team should make it conditional that InFront chip at least 100K to get us over there, or else The AMA should tell them to fuck all the way off.

Down vote if you want but I'm right.

Absolutely right, we benefit zero for this race anymore. The promoter's family is the only one that benefits. I have loved watching MXDN since I got into the sport in '91 but it's been awhile since I gave a shit.

How did you benefit before?

Once again, the eli age stuff is so stupid. I would give it a thought if he was doing interviews, smiling, riding consistently and we didnt see a different primary component on his bike every weekend.

As always, all of you guys who got fat at 28 are so mad

Fun Fact-

Eli Tomac, Jeffery Herlings, and Romain Fevbre are roughly the same age.

Tomac - 33

Herlings- 32 on sept 12

Current world champion Fevbre- 34

You're just strange that you don't think age has anything to do with athletic performance...

Kitchen can't start, and being up against 450s and go through a pack of 450?

Start is half the race. Hymas is given.

To the Title of this Thread :

That would be a heck of a Team.

With a Very Big chance of Winning, if riders performed to their levels, and, Importantly, Luck was on their side. Sh*t happens in races, especially the MXdN.

But, various ' controversy's ' are, it appears, stopping it from being.

Which, is unfortunate.

Does Eli want to be on the team?

I see a lot of people on this site volunteering him.

He has alread done it six times.

Chili is going... and USA and Team doesn't have a budget?  All the reasons in the world are just excuses when you lack the will... It’s a shame not to have Team USA. And honestly, if Dickgan wanted to participate, wouldn't Yamaha be able to find the budget? I'm sad for Americans fan and for this great event.

Why are some of you saying Marchbanks. Kawasaki has had a change of heart about supporting the race?

Star does this every year one rider doesn’t want to go.

One year they even had to backtrack on it and sent bikes for Anstie & Eli(?).

Deegan doesn't want to go. That little shit better stop bringing the flag on the podium. We should boo his ass off the stage. Fuck Star too, they can afford 18 250 riders but can't send a rider to MXON ? Zero respect or sacrifice for the fans and the country

The start might be part of the race, but so is finishing strong. Kitchen finishes in front of Beaumer the vast majority of the time. Beaumer isn’t going, and nor does he deserve to. He is wildly inconsistent with his speed and results. That’s something no one can say about Kitchen this year. He’s been in the top 5 overall at every single round this year.

Yes after October 1 he'll ride for a team that doesn't race outdoors

I like where Webb's head is at but he's not taking a Team Tedder Husky to the MXoN

Webb said he'd go. So did RJ, check the comments.

I’m bummed over this to be honest. Sucks as a fan.

If Deegan would just raise his hand and put the country on his back for this race, everything else would fall into place. Plus he doesn’t have to race the Lawerence’s there this year. Team USA could win if we sent Deegan, Tomac and Kitchen.

The smack talk about Jett’s girlfriend, the YouTube influencer attitude and all that Jake Paul WWE type hype stuff I can get past with Haiden. I’m still a fan. But when I watch him race Shimoda like a dickhead in the SMX finale and watch him once again bail on Team USA, man those things make me not want to be a fan. Those are the things that stick with me. It’s fine to play the heel and get more exposure for our sport, but there are some defining moments that make you respect a racer or not and just going with the flow on this Team USA thing and not taking that Captain America role when you are the heir apparent, idk man.

Tomac went. Dungey went. RC went. Villo went. Bubba went. TP went. The list of recent era greats that stood up for the US goes on and on… Hell, the Lawrence’s went when it wasn’t convenient for them. Roczen went to loose. Cairolli went to loose. Jeffrey went to loose. Those guys showed up knowing their team couldn’t even win…

It’s Haiden’s career and he can do whatever he wants. He deserves to get paid. It’s a job, I get it. But I think that if you asked Brian Deegan if he would race for Team USA back in the day on his RM125, Brian would have jumped at the opportunity and been there racing his heart out for his country. Haiden is a modern superstar from a different era with different racing priorities I guess.
