Gutted For Hunna Vol 4

This is awful man.  Dude has done everything right and been so consistent this outdoor season.

Nobody is owed anything but MAN so many of us want to see him seal the deal.

He didn't do everything right otherwise he wouldn't be climbing back up the wall.  He screwed up the corner, landed sideways and rolled to the bottom.  Lot of riders didn't get it right today.  Hunter was one of them.

Seems to be a pattern for him, gets the pressure of a possible championship and then he starts throwing it away. SX all over again.

Everything was just going flawless for him. Nailing every start. No big mistakes and capitalizing when someone else would make one. Taking 2nd if he didn't have the speed to win. After the 1st moto I said, this title is his. Me and my buddy walked away from his crash just completely dejected.

Considering how many gifts he has gotten this summer, it was all on him to seal the deal. Some riders prevail under pressure and with his chance of -24 outdoors title, -26 SX and MX title this is starting to become a pattern. I don’t count the SMX titles because they were never in his own hands in the same way as the one I mentioned.

If he can win out the next 4 moto's that would be 12 points (if Jett gets second each time) so he could still make up the 10 point deficit and win the title. So it is far from over but he made it a whole lot harder on himself today.

When was he going to win the '24 mx title? He wasn't on Chase's level.

Too bad seems like a good mate and hard worker. But man blowing it so late in the season both times is tough to swallow.

Lots of super tough, great competitors get second. Hello Gerritt Wolsink, Kevin Windham, hello Jim Kelly. No shame in making a mistake and losing to Roczen and Jett this year, super tough competitors.

He had a massive holeshot, I watched him from the gate to the corner and he flat destroyed everyone.

There’s still some racing left. Hunter has looked really good up to this point and he’s not injured.

If he wins the remaining motos. He is still champion.

It won’t be easy. But he is in a better spot than Jett was after moto one.

We shouldn't count SMX titles, regardless of circumstances. It's a novelty title at best. Regarding the gifts, I think the biggest gift he got was his brother's foot injury.

That and his recent obsession of studying & tracking. Poisonous Eagles.  A Very Brave & courageous man.and I Hope he is ok.   I see him quading the double in the future races.

One good thing for him is people feel bad for him. Chase screws up and all people do is call him a head case 🤷‍♂️

Odd that the slip up in SX and today may have been influenced by a strong performance from Prado getting into the mix.

Come on man... We don't see Hunter lining up a different color bike every year.

Gutted for him, it’s like the pressure gets to him. Will need to be on suicide watch if he doesn’t win the title.

Jett needs to just let him by and get this title!

Hot take but I don’t think the pressure got to him today.

I think his suspension settings were off second moto and he G’d out at the top of the hill, it rebounded hard and he swapped over the hill and down it

Lots can happen still, that's why they run the races.

But it has never paid off to bet against Jett Lawrence.

I don't think that is a hot take I think that's a reasonable one.. Just got bit by a difficult track at the worst possible place!

That crash just ended Hunter’s amazing run of 61 consecutive top five finishes since he entered the premier class outdoors.

I'd say Hunter is the better man this season.

In the meantime, Jett made so many mistakes lately that this one makes them even.

Also, Jorge is only 25 points down on Haiden.

100% agree. Suspension kicking back looked really bad, especially as it usually looks so good.

So easy to couch-surf and criticise from an outside perspective; much harder from inside the race.

His bike was off in the second moto, especially the front.
