Back underneath again?
Was Lommel his first race on this bike?
No he raced his standard bike at Lommel.
This was from Keiheuvel a money race in Belgium this past Sunday.

I didn’t mind the bolt underneath, but I rarely deal with substantial mud.
Looks kind of the same
to my untrained eye it looks like Frame, Engine, and bodywork updates.
I was having crazy ideas of building an XACT Pro shock for my 2025 350 instead of getting a new 2027 but now the question will be will it fit the new updated frame so i’ll probably hold off for now until more information is available.
Most likely behind the left airbox cover like the GasGas models.
Thats what I was going to say, this looks like a new gen gasgas seat, with the tank cover that overlaps the seat about 2 inches
I have seen a side by side pic of the head tube area compared to the current model and it looks alot different. New model has alot less material than the current one.
Beta vibes.
The rumor is a more compliant chassis and dual injectors on the 250f.
I thought we would see these as the 2027 FEs given how much we're seeing them out in wild in Europe and the US being raced and tested.
that's what it is isn't it? 27.5 FE. I'm assuming Tomac will be on one at A1?
Saw that in Social Scoop after typing this. Thanks.
I'm interested if the 350 engine is seeing any update. Appears the 250 has an all new valvetrain.
And, the FE lineup this year. An orange framed FE 350 would interest me.
These bikes were on the track in 2025, so how does that make it a 2028?
Do you know what is changing on the 250 valvetrain? The 350 is pretty similar to the 250 so I have been wondering if both will get dual injection.
If the 350 doesn't get dual injection, it won't be expensive to transfer the 250 dual injection over to the 350 and throw ecu on it.
Pit Row
wow, weird you don't know how these things work? They have to design, develop, test, make changes, test again, build tooling, molds, build up an inventory of parts, ect... way before they can sell to the public. Takes years, not months. So when all is said and done, they can introduce it to the market as the newest model year, which in this case will be 2008. Just to give you an idea, Hondas new 2027 bike was being tested as early as 2023!
It might be the 2028.5 factory edition
27.5
A little rough, but seems like good tech discussion.

When I first saw pics of test bikes I thought they were 350s because if the v shape on the cylinder. The new 250 has that so very possible those pics from both Europe and Cali were 250s. Really interested if the 350 sees any changes. Probably have to wait for ‘28 since they haven’t seen the need for a 350 SXF Factory Edition. They do have the offroad 350 FE!
Damn that is gorgous
They would easily sell every 350sxf factory edition they made plus some if they actually made one.
Thanks for the link. That was interesting. I guess we will find out what KTM did in Nov-Dec. One thing I don't understand is why KTM keeps putting the shock reservoir so close to the exhaust. I had hoped they might try to make it better on the newest model. It looks like Honda has been trying to get it as far as possible from the exhaust. I think Kawi and Yamaha do as well.
KTM made a Cairoli 350 SX-FE back in 2014 for sale in the EU, before Tony switched to the 450 to get better starts. They never sold the bike in America to my knowledge.
I'm not sure, but It appears that KTM only makes FE bikes for the series they race in - 450 and 250 classes only.
I made my own 2026 350 SX-FE with upgraded suspension , dual injectors, pipe, porting, ETC. No orange frame, but the bike is pretty fun to ride.
The orange frame is critical! Many of us old vet guys want the look to go along with the performance goodies. But seriously, wouldn’t the parts commonality with a 450 FE, or 250 for that matter, be very high? Engine and exhaust, what else? Production time for the line. Maybe the spec on the suspension? In the big scheme it seems like a low cost effort with potentially high upside.
On a separate note, what forks were on that ‘28? Still AER 48s, some other production style fork, or just factory spec for Adamo? Looks like Cone Valve uppers.
Hmm also pondering hiw hard it will be to retro fit the dual injector for 18+ models.
Ha ha, I did the same minus the porting. If you can't buy it you gotta build it yourself .
That pic looks like cone valves for sure. A few other spy pics I've seen look like the forks that come on the xc or exc. I think that is probably the most likely fork if they go away from the air.
