55 and in the same boat.
Selling my house and want to live in the Idaho pan handle for 8 months out of the year and Fla the other 4.
Found a group of guys my age down there in Fla who like to hit Ocala a few times a month.
Idaho has some amazing trails as well.

You’re only as old as you let yourself become. Sure, crashing hurts more nowadays, but riding has kept me young and motivated in a time where many of my friends all like to drink beer and be sedentary.

Giraffe579, keep on keeping on...you are an inspiration to us younger folk here.

Happy Birthday BS. I just turned 54 and started on motodrive (the version before Vital) when I was 28 or 29. Sheesh!! Where the eff does the time go?

There are a lot of epic trails in Idaho. Hit up the Gold Creek Lodge crew in Lakeview, Id . They have great stuff on the South and SE side of Ponderay and I know there is a ton of stuff North (Priest Lake etc) and all over the North Idaho area. There is also some of my favorite trails ever in The McCall Idaho area Down South. Super techie and really fun. Not many people around those parts. I'm 54 and ready for the big seasonal changes as well. Summers in Central Oregon and I just finished a little surf shack on the East Cape of Baja to get my longboarding back up to speed. Lots of old man right hand point breaks there and the waves are small in the winter, just the way I want them for now. I wouldn't mind doing some Florida winter riding though.

Pm me and give me your contact.
Would be fun to get a group together from vital and ride a couple times a year.  👍

38 here.

25 years pushing a wheelchair & feeling every bit of it lol. Fucking shoulders are done.

Crazy thing...I broke 6 vertebra in my back w/3 major surgeries but my back hardly ever hurts. It's my damn shoulders from pushing the chair, lifting myself in/out of bed/shower/car/toilet/etc. that kills me.  And before anyone suggests...NO I'm not getting a fking powered chair. The day I'm too old to push/lift myself is when I'm checking out.

Pop me a Pm with some news..how's everything?

We are registered for Asylum, so now we wait. Exciting days ahead.

I’ve never met the guy, or even interacted with him outside of a random post here or there, but from reading his story, ProKawi is a complete savage in the absolute best sense of the word.

Ay bud, what Pro went through the past few years is a testament to his strength and power. Lesser men would have thrown in the towel.

He really is one of the good dudes on Vital.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
Sun is the same, in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught, or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

On 11-18 I turn 60 I laugh when people said I,d never make it to 21.  Had a lot of injuries & surgeries from work . Last 4 yrs 3 days in a row of injections for months.  6-27 I had my 1st big 1 on a bike .  Paramedics gave me a fentanyl shot didn’t kill the pain but calmed my fighting for breath down. Didn’t think I would make the flight for life but I did. 7 broken ribs near my spine, collapsed lung , hole in it . Tension pneumothorax worst pressure & pain imaginable. Died in icu a few times , hearing yourself flat land & the big exhale & all life leaving your body is wild. Dr,s yelling your name then coming back .  3or 4 rotator cuffs tore & 1 strained also.  I was due for a big 1 all yr I knew something real bad was going to happen.  I figured a truck would take me out.  Next yr i,m still gonna ride & race . The vintage scene looks like fun . I,d Love to get a 90,s cr125 for that.

Good luck and hope all goes well!

I turned 67 in January. My brain would still think I'm 27 if my body didn't constantly remind it otherwise. 😛
