No, they don't. The 30 and 45 are called sportsman classes. This just means theyre eligible if theyve never scored a pro point. This means 21st-40th at outdoor nationals or missed qualifying by a spot for a supercross main. You ever watch the skill level at an outdoor nat in the 20s? Still professional.
I still maintain that if youve made the fast 40 you shouldnt be racing Lorettas. You should be racing vet nationals. Not amateur nationals.
World Vet happens at Glen Helen every year and rarely do any of them show up. Age specific PRO classes just for them on a badass track and not some rut fest on flat ground. Would be cool as hell if they’d all just commit to World Vet like they do Loretta’s.
One day I will take in the LL Nationals. Id love to see old pro’s out there.

I think its cool to watch the retired guys go against the up and comers. I would bet the kids enjoy riding alongside their heros as well. Anyone with half a brain can look at the field and see who the fast up and comers are apart from the returning ex pros.

ZachO is the healthiest he's been in quite a while.
ZachO is ULTRA-COMPETITIVE..but, in a very stoked and fun way...he loves a good battle and he'll give ya a friendly ration of shit if he thinks you're not riding as hard as he knows you can. Been there, done that...he won't allow his friends to settle for jus' doing mediocre laps. And...as I said...he does it in a very fun way...even gets up on you and revs the living piss out his bike while laughing at ya...getting you to go! If he "knows you"? He run up on you a bit and make you fight for your line...again...he makes it fun. Sooooo...jus'...fun.
ZachO is loving his new gig. Getting to represent a company that loves the sport and promote their products is perfect for him.
ZachO is fully capable of weighing "Risk v Reward" in a very wise fashion. He's very capable of a top 10 and on the right day and with the bike eventually dialed for goin' at it at The Nationals after a race or 2? Well, I won't be surprised if we're hearing his name on the TV. And, yes, I;m thinking he can get up there and run with Benny.
But, Benny is doin; the "Full Time" racer thing. I really don't see him doing anything other than trying to get to that next tier as a racer; and, that throws a lot of the "Risk v. Reward" stuff out the door. Benny will go for it while ZachO, probably, will wisely set a limit on "risk".
Now, if someone pisses Zach off...? This all goes out the door! 🤣

Bottom line there are more than 10 factory riders on the gate. Somebody has to get 10th. They’re not handing out 3 3rd place trophies last time I checked.
Beta isn't a "factory" team by any stretch of the imagination.
AEO or Tedder are more "factory" than Beta is.
Believe me, they are completely stoked with back to back top 10s!
