With the Alien Brothers not competing, MXDN is looking competitive for the win.

RJ wouldn't be a bad choice for the MX3 class. He'll give you his best no matter what, and lately he's been pretty solid. JCoop if he's healed up, but Hampshire as a 2nd choice.

I'm also down for Beaumer in MX2 if he keeps riding and getting starts like he has been. Kitchen is faster but very inconsistent. We'd basically be throwing one of his motos away by default, and then anyone else has to ride perfectly in both their motos.

Like it or not, Deegan is our best choice for MX1.

I think it’s been said a couple places but RJ won’t be going regardless since he’ll be transitioning to Ducati immediately after the MX season.

France in their backyard will be tough to beat, my dark horse is Spain to win.

I wouldn’t consider a team consisting of a recent multi time MXGP champ, current top 5 MXGP rider, and current points leading MX2 rider a dark horse team. I consider them to be one of the favorites.

Team Belgium has to be the favorites assuming Lucas and Sacha are healthy.

For team USA, I’d pick Deegan, Tomac and Kitchen.  I assume that in the next few races, Eli will pick up his pace as he gets the KTM sorted out.

I think Deegan has already booked a "shoulder chip" replacment surgery, he wont make MXON again this year.

I don’t think Deegan, JCoop and Beaumer is a bad team.  As long as JCoop is 100%.

Will be tight at the top of everyone rides to their potential.

Stupid question - would we not invite Kitchen? Does Kawi really have that much pull over PC?

I think Levi might be starting to come into the form we expect from him.  But he’s a horrible starter and that’s big at MXoN.

Plus, the general consensus is Kawi puts up 0 dollars for this race.

Yes, now that you mention it, I think I’ve seen that too.  I do prefer a healthy JCoop though, if available.

I'd bet money the excuse will be 'preparing for first year of 450 supercross'

Three months ago everyone was calling him the best 250 rider in the world. Turn down the invitation four years in a row, that's all you get.

Deegs is a pooskie.....never raced it, why ask him now? he's lost all respect from those who know....

It’s always difficult to go against France on home soil, but if I was a betting man, I’d have to put my money on Spain right now. Their “weakest” link is currently running 5th in a pretty stacked MXGP class.
If the US sends Deegan, Beaumer and JCoop, we’ve got an outside shot. I’m real curious to see how Deegan’s received on the world stage, too.
The Belgians could be a dark horse depending on Lucas and Everts (Sacha’s gonna send it no matter what).

My memory is that he wadded up his collarbone at the SMX finally, riding like a douchebag goon against Shimoda. Correct?

The SMX finally. He had already turned down the invitation by then, remember?

RJ is closer to deegan than deegan to Hunter or Jett….

So

RJ

Eli if healthy and up to speed by last race.  Otherwise J Coop if ready

deegan 250 - pay your dues and show you are part of team USA…if not willing 250….Juju has earned it before Hymas

Baseball rules….3 strikes and your out. Deagan has had his 3 strikes to be the true patriotic American he tries to show on the podium. Move on ask the next true American.

Since Australia isn’t sending their winning bros they are still participating. But what if Australia doesn’t send anyone ?

What if the USA can’t find fast ,patriotic riders ? Would anyone be upset if both of these countries didn’t participate?

Australia will send a team regardless of if we have a podium chance or not, just like we have for the last 40 years.

Wait a minute… this article from last year makes it seem like he was planning on going until the injury: https://racerxonline.com/2025/09/30/haiden-deegan-to-miss-motocross-of-nations

And this article is the announcement of Team USA 2025, and it includes Deegan. https://www.motorsportsnews.net/2025/08/11/american-motorcyclist-association-announces-2025-u-s-motocross-of-nations-team/

Where did you get that he didn’t want to go?

I don't know, there's been a lot of Miller Lites between then and now, but I seem to recall that when it became apparent that Eli wasn't going, he started to blame Star for not letting him go either.

Recall from what, though? Private conversations with the family Deegan? Inside sources? Did he post about his dissatisfaction on social media? Or did you hear it on a podcast?

I’m saying that publicly he committed to go, then the injury happened. Everyone now seems to be saying he didn’t want to go. But what we’re really talking about is this year: I think he should go and race the MXGP class.

Sadly, I don't think RJ is an option because Husky’s going away. If he was only switching teams, they could probably work something out (i.e Chase at Honda), but as of Oct. 1, the team won’t exist anymore.

Board is full of Americans that don't even look at the results of the GPs but even when Lucas Coenen shows up on a track he's never ridden, on a bike that isn't his, in a series he's never raced in and straight up beats Hunter the people on this board still don't consider that maybe Hunter and Jett are beatable.

Not to mention them crowning Deegan the best 250 rider in the world when he never raced one outside of America and the MX2 class is much deeper when considering Sacha Coenen's results and comparing the gaps between positions. On top of that you can also make the case for 3 guys in MX2 being faster than Sacha

The most credible and trusted sources in moto media, the most popular podcasts were saying that he wouldn't go unless he was paid and that he was basing his participation on who the other USA team members were, and gauging the possibility for a win. If Eli goes, I'll go. Remember that one?

I'm not making this up. Do your own research.

Even if The Law Firm was showing up. A healthy C Bros team from Belgium and possibly even a healthy team from Netherlands I was placing ahead of The Law Firm.
