My glass ball spoke to me this morning....here's what it said, "Davies is going to be another great and will end up at HRC Honda"
Hunter turns 27 in a couple of weeks, Davies still has another year or so on the 250.
Davies is the full package and is I'm guessing Honda will offer him a deal soon, which guarantees him a HRC 450 seat.
Or is my glass ball talking shit again??
Edit - fixed my piss poor spelling.
I’m not so sure on that one. Davies is the hottest prospect in the 250 class, is HRC willing to pay his worth to bring him over considering how much they’re already paying Jett & Hunter? Plus, Star has proven before that they’re willing to have 2 top guys on their 450 squad (Eli & Webb).
Kid will be able to take his pick of factory teams the way his career is heading. Don’t see the bros splitting up at all though.
He seems to spend a bit of time over at the Honda rig. I could get behind an ANZAC HRC squad.
Cole turns 19 next month. How many years does he have left on a 250? He may win the outdoor title this year and he may get the SX title in 2027 and get to defend it in 2028. By then Hunter would be 30 right?
It would be prudent for HRC to sign him up to finish his 250 career on red and prepare him for the 450 move in 2029.
I'm guessing Cole himself will want to follow Jeff's footsteps. He will slot in very nicely with all Jett's data...they ride very similar.
It's a no brainer for both HRC and Cole.
I like Jo and Hymas but they aint gonna be 450 championship contenders.

I think Jo will be forced up next year or his window will be gone. Japan will fund him so 3 450’s will be ok.
Noticed the same from all the videos, he seem to hang out with Jett more than Danger...
He has already signed with Star for a 450 gig.
HRC are full Jett 5 yr deal Hunter 4 yr deal.
HRC will sign Jo to a 3rd 450 spot before anyone else.
Cole Davies...
Nice!... will be good battles internally, Jett vs Hunter, Deegan vs Davies... we know what the top4 in 450s will look like for years to come... oh, yes, Sexton... but that's a wild card.
This is the actual fact of the matter.
I’d rather see Cole on a Honda with the brothers but I don’t think that’s reality.
In the USA there's No Idiotic Ageing out, for either SX or the Outdoors.
And, I think the limit on SX is 2 Championships now, I'm not sure if the 'pointing out' still applies?
Even though he is a Dastardly Kiwi, he'd be a good addition to the Honda USA Team.
And, perhaps being around Australians more, could lessen his chances of becoming a Bounder and Cad, that inevitably becomes the Kiwi Character ......... We Luvs Yuz Kiwis, even though you are a bunch of Ratbags 🤗!
I can't imagine Honda - the Real HRC side of it - Japan - not wanting to keep Shimoda. As I understand it, US Hondas racing efforts are distinct from HRC Japan, but bloody hell, a Monster such as Honda, could easily transfer the ( what would be but pennies to them, in the grand scheme of things) funds to Honda USA, to keep Joe.
I mean, I briefly thought about getting a '27 Honda, but I guess I'll just wait for the full factory gig. Glad to know people believe in me!
Please don't let facts get in the way of a good pipe dream. 😂
Yeah I've never heard details but he already has a 450 deal with Star. Also are you trolling, Boomslang, or do you not know its Davies?
I doubt star Yamaha would want him to get away. There's definitely a spot for him in the open class.
And when he's dialed in, and winning, like yesterday he definitely has a lighter style on the bike. Which seems to be what the 450's require. I think his transition up will be a relatively easy one.
As far as the 38 being his teammate ??
Well they don't have to be best buddies.
But... unlike Jett and Hunter, the difference in technique between the two is going to be tough for the mechanics.
They aren't going to be able to test, and share info as well.
Not unless the 38 changes his riding style.
And it certainly seems like that's easier said than done. Old habits die hard.
You could see, and hear, that in the 2nd moto after Jett went down. He was revving the shit out of the bike, riding heavy, and off the back as Jett was slowly pulling away.
Cole may very well be a better 450 rider.
But not on a satellite Honda team.
Doesn’t Davies only get one more year on 250s? He gets to defend his SX title, then he’s on 450s for 2028 SX, right?
Unless Jett retires early, there’s no way Honda could justify shelling out the cash for the hottest prospect in the sport that everyone will be fighting over.
Is he really the full package when Sacha Coenen crashed and broke his collarbone and then got up and still gapped him while also having no goggles lol
I just don't see how he would fit in at HRC. He might get along well with the brothers but I can't see HRC having 3 450 race/championship contenders on one team.
In two years he will be the number one 450 rider at Star and will run circles around 38, so he can make that team his own.
Pit Row
Not trolling at all. I never knew that Davis has a 450 deal signed with Star.
I really thought that he would end up at HRC given how close he is with the Lawrences..and with him being a Kiwi neighbor to the Aussies.
The rule is weird, but after he won this year I think I heard you get 3 years for 1 title, 2 years for 2. So if he doesn't win 27, he gets an extra year and wont be required to go 450 until 29. If he wins in 27, he's on a 450 in 28.
Awfully hard to predict future success two years down the road.
Yes, Sacha crashed pushing the envelope while Davies has a Championship to focus on.
Davis went 1 1 at Washougal....were do you think Sacha would have finished at the Shoug with a plated collarbone? Asking for a friend....
He has a contract for one more year on 250s, and 2 years on a 450.
I’m not 100% sure if the 450 is an option, or if it’s signed. But I know Star offered the house to keep him.
I would agree in most instances, but there are some guys who you can watch and see that their style and work ethic is goi g to be successful on a 450 as well.
Davies, imo is one of those guys.
If he wins a 250SX title next year he'll have to move up to the 450 in 2028, and if he doesn't, he can ride a 250 in 2028 for a final year.
Edit: Year change.
No riders hang out with donger
If I were HRC and could swing the funding, I’d get Cole on a 450. Run 3 bikes. I really like Jo, but I’d sign Cole before Jo every time.
I'd like to see him on Kawasaki and kill the "it's the bike" theories. Not that it'll happen.
Are 85 years old? Or why can't you properly trim an image?
