I was listening to the Keefer "Summer School" Millville recap and they were saying the AMA has not paid out any purse money yet through 7 rounds of the Outdoor series to any of the riders. It usually deposited weekly and Im sure there are some guys who could use that money to get to the races.
The AMA is not the ones that own the rights and handle the payouts.

Feld and MXSports bought and own the 2 series’s so they hold the purse.
It’s a BS claim saying that the PRO SX/MX racers are not getting paid. a HUGE IF is if that was remotely true the starting gates wouldn’t be full much like the GP’s that do not pay a purse to the racers.
Listen to the podcast. They checked his bank account to make sure they hadn't missed any deposits, named names of factory guys asking about it at races, made it sound like it's common knowledge at the races.... don't think they would have discussed it to the extent they did if they weren't sure about this one.

Sounds like the 1099 Chicago Russian mob trucking co.s . Your 158 hr week of running in the ne they decide to keep your check. Take out service fees of 1,500 , hack your cc & I pay 4,900 in tolls 30 days after I quit. Say it’s 50k shorted in 4 months , high interest & penalties. Make it 3 1/4 times more. Sad to see corruption in motorcycle racing too.

Apparently according to that interview...they're not getting paid. Why is anything that has to do with money in this sport seem like a fkng pyramid scheme?? It's like the secret society of the Free Masons.
That's actually the sad part the Riders do pay to to race and entertain us and then they sell that on top of it!
I used to joke when my kid did it that we were the only clowns that paid to perform not even Ringling Brothers does that LOL

What happens when a rider doesn’t pay his fine ? Can’t take it out there envelope since they don’t get paid anyway. I remember in 97 riding Millville with John,s pal Mike d. From San Bernardino on Mon. The trophy girl stopped by to get paid . I told her that I was a Profeshenal . Lol

Maybe they omitted payout and figured noone would notice since we found out noone reads the rulebook?
Thanks for the link. Holy shit, Kris Keefer is going on the record claiming that MX Sports, who I assume pays him for content, is not paying the purse for the Pro Motocross series?? This is actually scandalous.
I like it that Kris said something. Yes, it kinda goes against always towing the company line though.
I also like that in this weeks review pod Steve criticized the Lorreta Lynns track as being too slow. Its not a good measure of amateur talent.

I guess I should come on here to clear some things up to put out some of this this shitstorm a bit. First off, DC doesn’t EVER tell me not to speak my mind and I usually do (good or bad). If you have listened to our show, we speak honestly. I’m a face value type of guy and can only speak from what is going on with us. DC has never told me to shut my mouth. I work for Racer X yes, but DC allows me to be me.
On the show Aden said “no one has gotten paid”. Meaning, “no one” over here (AKA us, Aden Keefer). Maybe that was misconstrued into NO ONE has in ALL riders. Maybe I need to pay more attention while recording but usually these shows are raw/unfiltered. Also, Aden does know a couple riders who haven’t got paid yet but this also could be a bank issue? At Southwick’s riders meeting Oldenburg asked when he was getting paid which spawned into Aden asking if he got paid yet. He didn’t.. I do know that the riders I have talked to today (more than a few) have been paid twice already (7 rounds in). So I think the conspiracy theorists need to chill back a bit on if MX Sports/AMA is doing this on purpose. They’re not. (You can say “oh Keefer is blowing MX Sports” or I’m drinking the cool-aid but I am not becoming rich working for Racer X to lie/hide anything). I work for at Racer X cause I love the brand and the people that I work with (including DC).
From my experience (this is my opinion) there isn’t anything funny going on. Were we genuinely curious on how privateers could make it to the next round if they haven’t got paid? But on the show I made sure to specify “if this is true” I wonder how they can make it to each race. I DO NOT know everyone in the paddock so I can’t speak for everyone but from the people I speak to, riders usually get paid every 2-3 weeks depending on if there is an off weekend or not. I never came on the show and said MX Sports hasn’t paid a single rider. We and a couple others didn’t get paid. Everyone calm down. 😂
Hopefully this clears up any conspiracy theories and I am sure Aden will get paid, we were just genuinely curious on how it all works cause it was weird that he wasn’t paid yet. I appreciate everyone listening to the show and going on this journey with all of us. See at Washougal!
