There's no way a professional motocross rider crashed because of those drops. I take bigger drops on my 4" travel XC mtb and that's not a brag lol. I do recall someone cartwheeling a golf cart, though.

RedBud and remembering Josh Lichtle, passed from heat stroke in 2011

I still think about it to this day.

I saw 2 Pro's personally crash while on a slow lap. They were requiring you to  do a slow lap and roll the jumps on the first laps of practice around that time.  And it surprised a few guys and they did indeed crash.  One was a local guy, but one was a bigger named guy on a team. I can't remember  the names, I just remember one of them that I was surprised a little bit more about when it happened. Surprised that they were not expecting them still at the 3rd  and 4th rounds by that point.

I don't think anybody was injured in the crashes involving bikes off of them. But they sure did take out some riders. If I look hard enough I might be able to find some photos.

It was either Cotter or Davey Combs who drove a mule over one with Josh Grant in it and he tore his acl again, that was in 2011 when he was riding for factory Honda. Langston rolled over one on a parade lap and went over the bars.

It was awesome to watch, but fuck that was a huge wide open jump.

That glen Helen gap was huge in person! But they had a jump worse than that when the went up over the hill from the arroyo/rem track and the down and around to the start finish. It was a blind jump up and over. Pretty sure there’s a picture of Josh Grant laying it flat going over the top of that hill. Pretty close to the line they ran. I can't imagine doing that for 35 minutes, last moto of the day, with arm pump kicking in. Simply insane. But for sure awesome to watch.

Definitely has to be Glen Helen my son wrote the Nationals there 13 14 and 15 in the morning qualifiers there was literally 15 ruts over 100 yards long leading up to it you had to pick one and click it into fifth on a 450 and yeah probably about 40 ft high I have pictures of him over the power pole I'll try to find them. Then you have the pure speed that the 450 is carry into Talladega and the crazy rough downhills Jodi got pretty silly with a lot of the jumps those years!

Toole Utah was pretty sketchy also I believe it was 14 just simply because of all the rain and how sloppy it was and still trying to jump everything. People were down everywhere!

Foxhill this weekend isn't far off.. Looked brutal on TV, can't imagine how insane it must be in person. Steep down hills with shadows and footpeg deep ruts.

At Budds Creek the very 1st 500/125 Pro National year the jumps were made so steep that the riders refused to ride them until the angles were changed.

Big Gulp was HUGE and only 5 AMA 500 Pros and 1 Open B Amateur jumped it. Dale a legitimate local 125B racer that lived close to Budds Creek in Mechanicsville had just started racing in Open B as a 2nd class and Dale had watched the 5 doing it all week when as a 1st year national track they had open Pro practice so he went for it on Amateur Day!

If I remember right they interviewed Josh Hill who was on Yamaha and he said it was sketching as fuck (scary) on a 250 - Yes, Josh said that !!! but I also think the Yamaha 250 was a dog back then, hence why he jumped to 450.

Vialle’s swap into the jump face did not look pleasant. I was surprised he got up so quickly. Although you could tell he was a little dazed afterwards while trying to get back on the track.

Washougal is sketchy because of the shadows. It’s hard to see at certain points.

Tell your mom to update her only fans page, and when you come around in +10th on amateur day, just send it. She'll be videoing it

This one? I remember seeing this in person in 2006 and it was absolutely insane how huge it was. And the jump face was completely rutted up. I think villopoto was the only one doing it on a 250.
