He was quite underwhelming in MX2 in Europe.

Didn’t he win a race or two and had podiums with Husky?

He was going well until a big crash at Matterley on the Kawasaki i think. Never got back to where he was.

Consistently top ten with eight overall podiums in MX2, but no wins.

Beaton did race Washougal as a one off a few years back in 450s; got 13th first moto and dnf in the second.

He broke his legs on the F&H Kawasaki and then went to Husqvarna Nestaan. He had a few podiums but he was a big guy for the 250

Then he went to F&H MXGP, but that year was tough on him personally if I recall correctly. I don't know the exact details, but it seemed like sickness in his family that affected him

Watch his gypsy tales interview from a few years back. Comes from a pretty isolate part of the world.

My favourite quote " Thats pretty much all we did when we were young (riding bikes), went out burnt fuel, got bored went out burnt more fuel, it was pissing down rain we were bored so went and burnt more fuel" 😂

Id say he would bring a CDR Yamaha or required parts.

Until Star took the Yamaha 450 team in America the CDR team have been the only team to consistently set up a good Yamaha 450 for the last 20 years.

Jed will be fine, he could run easily 5th to 10th.

Remember when Ferris rode his CDR bike in the states and it was clearly better than the US factory 450.

Didn't Ferris ride the factory Yamaha and said it was a POS?

Both haha

CPR is talking about the time he went over and raced High Point and went 2-14 or something he just took his CDR suspension and a pipe (I think)

But then he got the factory fill in at Yamaha (Plessinger's bike) and yeah that bike was by all reports a mess haha

He rode a great race yesterday at Conondale. The top 4 guys in Aus are relatively the same speed at the moment; Beaton, Webster, Crawford, Tanti. Awesome riding yesterday, congrats Jed, well deserved. Make no mistake, the guy can ride a bike, with a nice CDR under him he will do well, he is back on it.

And great to see Conondale back on the calendar.

Has anything been confirmed with Beaton doing a national round or two?

He's too good for our domestic series. I really hope he gets another chance at MXGP on a good bike

Can throw a towel over the top 4 at the moment, best racing there has been in a long time, Connondale track is so good, just a shame they took the famous extension jump away!
