Why does no one ever take the number 8???? I’m fairly certain Grant Langston was the last number 8 we saw in pro motocross in 2007….am I wrong??
Because they took 38 instead!
I miss the days of riders being assigned a number based upon points earned.
At the same time...career numbers are pretty cool and very marketable for riders, so I get that.
But single digit numbers for 250 class riders is bogus!
This is completely how I feel about the situation
Chiz has had his number since carburetors were on the line, no joke.

Because it looks ugly on the bike.
YEP, GL8 WAS THE LAST 8
Might be making a comeback after the nationals this year...
Why does noone run number 0 ?
This is sarcastic, right?
8 right up there in the numbers with the longest droughts.
Damon Bradshaw has entered the chat 🤬🤣
It's not allowed in moto, you can't run the number 0 or a series of numbers starting with 0.
I think it could look sick on one of the bikes with the narrower bottoms on the front number plates. Like KTM or Ducati or Triumph
I really thought Haiden would take it. Keeps the Deegan trend, but makes it his own.
The #8 looks ugly, that’s why lol
So who's the real #2?? Mc?? Rv?? Webb??
Nawww.. not a fan of career numbers, big fan of the lower the number the faster they are
James - "I'm not even the most popular #7 in my house" 😄 Last years finishing position as this years # was the coolest most honest system ever, and unique to MX / SX. Too bad that horse was beaten to death and buried long ago.
Pit Row
I think the 8 looks great. 1st mx bike had 18 on it I bought it on my birthday 11-18-89 , 87 cr125. Then 118 then 531 the time I was born. I ran the 8 on my 91 cr250 since I was told I looked similar on the bike as JMB to freak people. Recent yrs 532 my 1st minute alive . 532 divided by 2 , 3 times is 66.5 , born in 66. Surgeon today said 6-18 months for rotar cuff surgery, ouch. 89 cr125 dream bike
I don’t agree that it looks ugly. I think it looks cool.
Shellenberger has some cool bragging rights. Not sure I recall the rider…wonder what he’s up to 17 years later.
Checkmate.
Flying Mike Brown
🤔 Ok, you got me there, but that was also one of the all-time best kits ever (bike/gear).
It does... unless you're Damon Bradshaw with the early 90s AXO gear and a '91-'92 Factory Yamaha.
Definitely not Webb.
Everyone knows MC's number ....
I'm a sucker for gold wheels on Honda's.
