OK, not really fractured clean in half, he had a broken fibula which carries very little weight (15%) and is more for ankle stability.  For it to be broke clean in half the tibia would need to be broke as well.  I know, I've broke both and was also told before surgery there might be a possibility they would use bone from by fibula to repair my tibia (bone graft).  In that case they stabilize the fibula and you go on living your life and yes riding and playing sports.

But yea, Eli is a bad dude and my favorite rider.

I had broken fibula and agree you can barely tell it's broke . You can easily ride with one

They don’t. My point is all manufacturers have mechanicals from time to time. None of them are consistently failing.

I dunno. But Sachas quickly becoming my favorite rider. Dude hauls the mail and just sends it. I am however, very worried about how in the hell he is going to make it through a sx season.

It sucks if they broke something but in the big picture I think it was positive long term. Sasha for sure just gained a ton of American fans by his performance and his grit. If the US is where he wants his career then Saturday help that along way.

I don't think they really had a choice. It's been years now that the Coenen brothers want to come over at least for a few races, and I believe KTM wouldn't let them.

Then earlier this year they announced a new multi-year deal, so I guess they must have negotiated with KTM to have this few-us-rounds included in their contract.

From what I understand, it was a contract that "allowed" them to race in the US to "their" want if available in between races.

It boggles the mind to think about this young man lining up for Supercross….

Sacha might have made more money for himself with that performance in future money here in America than he will winning that MX2 championship. 

Bargaining power in his future US MX deal, he smoked the field he will be racing. Gear companies will throw more money at him because he can win and people over here already love him.
