During the 2nd 450 moto, Jett passed Haarup after the monza turn whilst the yellow flag was being waved. No penalty?
No penalty report yet that I can find. But I see Ferrandis was originally scored in 9th and now he’s classified as 10th in moto 2.
So maybe there’s more to come??
Edit: but as mentioned by others, passing on yellow is not a penalty.
there is no rule agaisnt passing on a waved or static yellow is there? only on a redcross (or red light)
caution flags in the pros is a whole different ballgame. the caution is at the discretion of the pro.. red cross is the limiting flag....wheels on ground and no passing., caution is proceed with caution. no limits really.
Passing is permitted under a yellow flag.

I was under the impression that a rider had to have wheels on the ground & no passing, surely a waved yellow flag means danger ahead, no?
No.
Straight from the AMA rule book:
e. Yellow Flag or Yellow Flashing Light 1. Indicates a potentially hazardous situation on or near the racetrack. 2. Riders must exercise caution. 3. Passing is allowed.
That’s fair enough, I just thought that was the rule.
Anyone would think I’m a Jett hater from the downvotes from asking a simple question smh.
I down voted it because it’s a very basic rule most any fan would know. Then I down voted the last one because you complained about being down voted.
A down vote can also just mean "no" and since u asked a yes/no question....
Some will play it safe, our of respect for a fallen rider in unknown condition. Slow down, others don't give a flying fuck and will pass. Rule needs to be changed.
Ferrandis was presumably bumped once Barcia was correctly scored in 9th. Barcia’s transponder died second moto…
Seems to me from what I saw a lot of riders didn't slow down
I was wondering why they were showing him laps down, with no explanation.
The only reason I asked because in MXGP I’m pretty sure passing under waved yellows in not allowed, I didn’t realise the AMA had a different rule.
I think you'll find that AMA pro racing has a different rule to amateurs who have the more traditional yellow flag rule.
Doesn't need to be changed, that's what the red cross flag is for, Why would you need redundancy?
Same same. If you've watched any Pro AMA race, really ever, you'll constantly see yellow flags and riders going past like they aren't there. Basically just a "keep an eye out" warning. I guess passing directly next to a yellow flag doesn't happen so often I could see someone new getting confused, but literally every race ever, they fly past yellow flags at full race pace because they're professionals and are treated as such.
You would think that but I feel like this comes up a lot. "He passed on a yellow!"
