Watched MXGP race earlier and Lucas walked the field again and next weekend on sand track gonna be epic!! Wouldn’t be suprised if he goes 1-1 at the wick
He has all the reasons to not go out there and risk it all if his first 450 world title is at risk lol. If the opprtunity is there if not he gonna settle. He aint his brother
Jett will 1-1. Hunter just lit a fire under his ass
This is not lommel or Leirop
Big difference between Southwick and bottomless sand tracks.
Jett should have more than enough for him this year
If he wins it’s riding at 80%
Was probably the only race last season where Prado was genuinely competitive. I expect him to be a factor next week too

I’m not gonna be surprised if Jorge gets in…and stays in…the mix at The Wick. Also, let’s acknowledge that Hunter is at a new level.
Jett has been pretty damn smart about managing his speed as he heals…as he recovers…a VERY busted up ankle. That’s an amazing feat for any athlete.
The Brothers KTM Europa should be VERY “in it” at The Wick. The combination of sand and ruts should work out very nicely for them.
Then there’s Deegan: the kid needs to work on those starts. And finishing 20+ seconds back is not a good look. On the other hand, he sure as hell put in a serious fight to get back in the game at Red Bud in Moto 1.
I don’t know if anyone-else noticed…? But, other Euro’s on Triumphs and KTMs and even Dylan on his Ducati are messing around with the Top 10…and flirting with the Top 5. Go take another look at those Red Bud results.
The Wick should be one of the best races of the year.
I think if Lucas starts top 5 he wins. Jett seems to have problems with stuff that isn't fast and straight at the moment. With how good Lucas was at Thunder Valley, I have a hard time believing he won't be significantly better at Southwick. Unless it's brutally hot and he decides not to cook himself for his next GP
What do you think Deegs is gonna do if he “gets a start” that he couldn’t do in moto 2 yesterday?
2nd in the 2nd moto lol. Prado gapped him and Hunter chased him down and beat him by 20 seconds. But wait until he gets a start.
If Deegs gets a start he will be in the top five. Not bad for a rookie.
It will be interesting to watch, for sure.
Jett said after the race he struggled with his ankle, due to the deep conditions, I assume Southwick will be hard as well, as it's soft, and he won't be able to do Jett things without putting full weight on his bad ankle.
I think Hunter, Lucas and Jorge are top 3. The order... That'll be interesting. If it's crazy hot, I'll give the nod to Hunter.
I said in another thread when it was announced they would be racing here this year: don’t be surprised if Lucas and Sacha both go 1-1 at Southwick. They are that good.
I agree but looks like quite a few haven’t seen these boys in the sand despite not being lommel or any of Europe s deep sand tracks!! They will be floating around southwick near the front
Prada is a factor for the first 15-20 mins then fades like a set of Temu tank stickers.
He gets lapped this weekend. Theyre probably already lining up a circus deal for him.
We know that isn't true. He isn't the best but he doesn't suck. If he doesn't crash he'll be in the top 5. That is the cat bird seat if the guys in front have some bad luck. He's a turd but a darn fast turd.
I also think Jett is no where near healed up yet. That's really a testament to his talent.
Wonder if they gonna wear the ”De Coster”-replica gear they had at Thunder Valley at Southwick too?
I see much improvement from RJ and Garrett. Which Prado shows up is still a question.Hopefully the one that raced Red Bud. Throw the Coenen's in the mix and should be a pretty competitive race. Hopefully it will live up to the potential.
Pit Row
Hunter 1-1. Lucas is the spoiler. Jett's got big question marks after Red Bud and deep, demanding conditions.
I fear for Jorge's fitness - Hunter pulled 9 seconds in 2 laps then dropped him by another 10 seconds by the finish. He'll for sure have speed early as we've seen, but how long can he sustain it for?
Yes, Lucas is going to be a problem. But that just means better racing and more fast guys running up front.
I’m all for it!!
Lapped? No.
I’d guess probably way out of touch with the leaders though. With Coenen, Hunter on his game, maybe Jett can step it up in the sand, and Prado is good sand rider, anyone else might be a long way back.
Two other guys I’m looking out for this weekend:
450’s - Roan Van de Moosdijk came from 33rd to 10th in moto 2 at Redbud on a stock engine. Being Dutch he’s a sand specialist.
250’s - Kayden Minnear is also a sand specialist from here in Western Australia. We have lots of deep sand tracks not unlike the Netherlands.
You're gutsy for stating the obvious. Good job sir!
I have both Coenen brothers going 1/1 in each class for Southwick, with Dander boi 30+ seconds behing the Lawrences and Prado.
I can’t see Jett winning with his leg the way it is against Hunter and Lucas. Sand tracks are all standing. Even if not Lommel it will be the worst conditions of the year for Jett.
Anyone watching can see what Hunter is now capable of. He has clearly developed the strength/skills/fitness/will to attack ANYONE in the last 10 minutes of the moto when they are suffering, reel them in, and then immediately gap them and check out. Jett, Degan, Prado, doesn't matter. Lucas? We will see. Did you see how pissed off he was when he yelled "FUCK!" for the cameras behind the podium after his little tip over? That is one strong and focused young man.
If Minnear spun some laps at Coastal and AJS in his junior years, he'll be primed for a sand clinic.
We’re seeing Jett deal with something he hasn’t had to before, his training partner being faster than him. Will be interesting to see how he works through it.
Faster is a bit subjective, I’d say healthier and just as fast. Now, if this is it for Jett’s recovery, then yeah, will win some, lose some. That’s what we’re seeing right now.
I do think he will get better over time. Will he get back to his “normal” self? It’s a wait and see moment for us fans.
I’m thinking he’ll have more left in him to fight in the 2nd Moto… if he DOESN’T have another DISASTER 1st Moto 🤣
That 1st Moto on Saturday was an ass kicker.
The truth is, if he’s gonna live up to the hype…he needs to be able to do what Chase did at Hangtown…go from last to 1st…period.
