Toendel!!

I don’t see anyone else have mentioned it but coming from Norway, first supercross, rides first half of the heat in qualifying position before drifting back and then leading the lcq until halfway is a damn good first showing!

I’m sure getting used to the intensity and just stadium racing general and we might have a fun wildcard to watch!

Hopefully he stays healthy til outdoors!

I liked Diffey's comment during the LCQ when Tondel and Freddie were starting to battle for first, "How often do we get say in Supercross, the Norwegian is fending off the Swede!" Tondel also rode a couple rounds of the outdoors last summer on the factory HRC 450. I think I remember hearing a segment on TV where Lars talked about some sort of connection the two had. Seemed like he rode well in the early laps, I think southwick he ran inside the top 10 for a few laps.

He wasn’t on a HRC bike when he was here, just a loaner production bike that Lars and the guys let him borrow. His team brought their own parts.

You'd think they could have got the spelling ( and pronunciation ) of his name right .

Toendel, Not Tondol.

I don't remember the races but Tøndel was 3rd in the qualifying after winning group B at Southwick. Looks like AMA couldn't find the Norwegian flag 😅

He's been racing local races here in Illinois the past few weeks, was wild to see him up front on TV after seeing him take a gate drop with 5 other dudes 30 minutes from my house.

Hope Toendel gets a shot, and I hope Kawi makes it worth Bubba's effort getting him to this point with some extra support.

I'm glad Tondel is doing well in the USA. Kid has a lot of talent.

Bit of recent history - He wasn't happy when he lost the EMX 250 silver medal to Lucas Coenen at the last round in France in 2022 - he crashed several times on the Fantic two stroke on the rutty clay track.

I asked him to smile for the camera, he just scowled at me and looked away...

Just read it. I mentioned this to my buddy when Sexton was out: «hope Tøndel gets the ride».

This is really cool, and he is very good at Southwick, think he got a 6th in a moto there last year on a production Honda

Last year he went 11-DNF, although he was in sixth first a while.

More notably he qualified 3rd fastest!

Classy move too for his now former team to let him make the switch.

He was their top finishing rider so probably not always so easy for the sponsors and team owners to just let him out of his contract.

This just shows how messed up the whole AMA system is.

Factory Team loses rider.

Team doesnt have a replacement agreement with another rider.

Guy who cant get a ride in MXGP , having only scored 20 points in 9 GP's in 2025 gets the gig.

Meanwhile 20 guys in 250 will neve get a 450 ride, because they can 'stay down and have another go at winning half an SX series'.

Big fan of Toendel, and Hakon Fredericksen, who is now doing sand racing in France, but US riders should be embarrassed at not stepping up to the plate.

How Mitch isnt putting McAdoo forward, is beyond me.  Yes he was hurt, but they have nothing to lose.

Lets not forget that the #1 rider there now is only there because Prado bailed.
