He established himself as the 3rd best rider currently (better than Prado) which is already impressive imo but aint no way he gonna beat Jett. Unless something happens to him. Beating Hunter at washougal I could see happening if the stars line up correctly.

I think Prado has lost some mojo with the DNF and hasn’t been the same since, but yeah hope he finds that drive again.

but that's really not the point.....pre-season deegs dangerboyz all predicted d-bag would dominate. it wouldn't be close and they would all be dancing in the dirt. remember deegs saying "don't let me go 1-1..."?

Yep. With Deegan it’s a lot of wait and see. So far he has done very well for his rookie season. Anything can happen at this point. There is an absolute possibility that he can win a moto.
Agreed. I can't stand the kid off the bike. His preseason antics were laughable and the moving goalposts now are ridiculous.
BUT, on paper he's been impressive in his rookie season. Can't take that away from him. I kinda wish I could because he's such a d-bag, but it is what it is.

He could definitely win a moto and probably will before the series is over. One at each of the next three races, though? No.
Actually, Haiden’s best was three tenths quicker than Jett and four tenths off Hunter in the second moto at High Point.
I think the hype after HP is coming from the fact that once Haiden finally got around Prado in moto 2, he was around 10 seconds off Jett and reeled him in pretty quick. He forced Jett to pick up the pace and they were both reeling in Hunter. In the broadcast you can actually see him pass Prado, look up to see where Jett was at and drop the hammer and ripped a couple 2:05s and 2:06s to close that gap. Completely dropped Prado in the process. Seemed like he knew he had enough time left and was feeling good enough to chase them down. His fitness and race management is just gonna get better where I think the other two are going to remain close to where they’re at.
Once Haiden can get a start and manage the first half of the race consistently, I think it’s game on.
gotta be disheartening for the 250 class to see the guy who mopped the floor with them for two years come to 450s and be the 3-4th best guy. like whats that mean for them? move up and be 7-10 guys at best maybe 8-12th. I think his performances would slow down any desire to move up for a lot of 250 guys

I’m no Deegan fan but to be fair he’s already beat Prado straight up multiple times and I don’t think it’s ridiculous to say he’d be beating Tomac. Plus he beat Sexton in the four motos Chase was there for.

Look, Deegan is doing fine and will get better, but trying to bend and manipulate every ounce of data to show he's about to beat the Lawrence's is delusional work.
Thats an accomplishment in itself that Deegs manipulated the situation and pushed Jett to go hard for a couple more laps. Has anyone else done that this year?

And Tomac, we all wish he was out there. We don't know if 3 would be leading the points or running in a 3-7 spot.

Lol I ain’t one of those with a mouth full, I just felt the need to make sure we stick to facts in here when we’re hating on HD. But yeah, once the kid knows he can consistently run a winning pace for 30+ 2 twice, things are gonna look a little different on Saturdays.
