MJ could probably afford to bury Feld financially, kick the AMA squarely in the nuts and start getting the entire pro racing MX/SX going in the right direction. Maybe the riders could actually make money from risking their lives.

Feld is worth about 2.5 billion and are partnered with monster so I doubt it

Honest question,

Lars had ties to factory Honda before chad. He would have ended up where he is regardless of Reed. The Jordan thing is Reed stirring the pot. Wonder how long until he packs up and leaves club.

That’s not what Lars says, but what would he know.

Lars was with Honda way before Reed…I believe he started as basically an errand boy and moved his way up….His Honda history below.

The connection between Lars and Honda is undeniable, I'm not denyin  that.

However his time at team TwoTwo is where he was given the opportunity to learn about team management, despite being hired as a mechanic.

He's said so himself, so I don't know why that's even in question?

Maybe a riders union.
Get some health bennies.
Have to limit rider numbers each year somehow.

Chad Reed gets a lot of hate, but Two Two was legit. Biggest names in the sport were on the team and they were beating the factory guys on a privateer bike, 2012 he was arguably the fastest guy indoors and out until Chadapault & Houston (was it Houston where he crashed battling villlo?) Honda took notice and started giving factory parts, but it’s a cool story.

Steve did a great article on Racer X about the team, awesome read.

anyone know why Chad switched TwoTwo from Honda to Kawi? I've heard that HRC will help guys out with works parts, like Brayton, but I doubt...

The way I remember it was Reedy didn’t like the new CRF at the time and felt the Kawi handled better, and of course HRC would only supply parts if he continued on their new model.
That came after he said the 2012 CRF was the best bike he ever had.

Worth noting he’d experienced something similar before after the 2004 YZ250 was so good then Yami went and changed the chassis.

Chad started on a pro circuit built bike then HRC gave him a full factory bike

Would think that is where Webb will be riding next year.

If there’s room for a Sx track

Top Gun is a public track.  He could possibly squeeze in a SX track there to train on but it would eat up a significant amount of the parking for Top Gun.  The old JGR / now Riordan place is tucked back in the woods and offers seclusion for a high profile guy like Webb to slip in and out of without hardly anyone knowing he’s there grinding for SX.  Also, I’d bet it’s closer to his new lake house than Top Gun.

He seems to be in a lot of IG comments making sure it’s known how much he knows.
