Funny how he can turn left and right but turning just left seems to be his kryptonite? 🤔

I still haven't worked out the math on how only turning left is much more difficult than turning both directions. 🤔😄

Or alternatively how guys who are so good at turning left, aren’t very good at turning left and right.

Lol, gave a colleague in NJ some, he put it on like peanut and jelly style, didn't go well 😂

( It's amazing, but definitely small amounts and goes well with melted cheese )

Mmm, I can't go along with that. They seem to have some really good road course guys in that series - some have beaten him and others have given him all he wants. On the other hand, it's taken him a few years to look like he can be competitive on ovals. Why such a disparity in the results if "just turning left" is so easy?

I've heard people berate oval drivers through the years, saying, "how hard can it be to turn left all day?", when the truth is that these guys didn't come up just turning left. And if it's so easy, how come drivers from other series don't just come in and take their lunch money?

I don't have a dog in the fight, but it sure looks like the NASCAR regulars are much better on road courses than road course guys are on ovals when each has to do the other type on a limited basis. Regardless, it seems to disprove that, "just turning left", is something anyone can do with ease.

I was only joking, but the reality is that SVG’s doing amazingly well, This isn’t like someone going from MXGP to AMA Nationals, NASCAR, especially oval racing, is a completely different sport to Aussie V8 Supercars where he’s come from.

No worries, we're good and I think we're agreeing - these types of racing are so hyper-specialized that you can't cross over and dominate another form just because you have in a previous one.

I really don't understand why, though. I mean, look at MX - how many times have you heard someone say, "How hard can it be? You just sit there and let the bike do all the work." 🤔

Of course, that may be how I try to ride these days, but then again, I gave up any and all delusions of trying to go fast a long time ago! 😄

I wouldn't say it's more difficult just that he can't separate himself because they can all turn left..

Can't argue that it's not easier to do but I'd say it's harder to race

How to make an American Cry * : approach them with jar of Vegemite🥵 !

Which is something I never understand, what with most of them, being into Wildly Hot Mexican type food!

Early on, when I started going to the USA, I would threaten my US friends with  Death, if they tried to ply me with Red Hot stuff!

Yet, I could easily eat a full jar of Vegemite ........ weird, I know.

  • and, if any of you 'murcans are offended by this - well, I'll Telz Yuz now - if you want to see a Grown Bear Cry - well, just wave a Chili, even a pretty mild one near my fizzog, and I'll scream and run like a little girly........ Yet, I'm sitting here, watching the 2nd MX2 moto from Italy, with a pile of SAOs, with about a 1/4" thick layer of Vegemite on each one! I'm a Hard Bastard, I am!

Per Capita…NZ kicks some serious ass when it comes to racing…and that’s not just riders and drivers…look at John Britten and Bruce McLaren. Yup, the Kiwis have created some awesome stuff over the years.

From McLaren’s book…

"To do something well is so worthwhile that to die trying to do it better cannot be foolhardy. It would be a waste of life to do nothing with one's ability, for I feel that life is measured in achievement, not in years alone."

When is Brodie going back racing? He’s been riding for quite a bit now.

Hopefully he comes back for redbud, it gives him 2 more weeks of prep.

We used to listen to AC/DC  cranked to 11 on the way to the races.  Best way to get fired up before the Motos.

Ovals are dictated by the yellows now.
