I was actually agreeing with early on this one until I saw this photo. Has anything been altered? That first sequence of photos did not show what appeared to be a cross jump but this photo definitely suggests it.

Hunters pass on Deegan looks like a pretty standard move by deegs on other riders.

Moved over on the ground? The last pic in the sequence literally shows him landing directly in front of Deegan while he took off from the center of the previous jump…it is a cross jump but as I said above it’s not as severe as Jorge does but it still is a cross jump….maybe cross jump lite…

Dave’s sequence shows it perfectly clear: Deegan cuts the corner and I’m guessing Jett is not expecting him to be suddenly right there, because he doesn’t know about the cheater line, and shuts it down, as he can do because he’s in front.

I haven't seen a before and after comparison yet. First picture is going into the corner, second is mid cheater line, third is coming out. How many bike lengths did the cheater line give to Deegan? Seven? Eight? He got penalized for taking the cheater line six times, but some say he took it like 12 times. Let's say it's six. Deegan gained 48 bike lengths using the cheater line. If we go with the actual number of times he took it, that means he gained 96 bike lengths on Jett. He cheated to gain 96 bike lengths and still couldn't even show Jett a wheel.

Yea hopper is the one who made the ig post saying that it looked like he didnt pull in the clutch and thats what made it spread around everywhere that chase crashed from a super rookie mistake…. Come to find out both kawis were sputtering all morning and the bike actually cut out.
Nah his initial take was that it was "a seat bounce gone wrong".
I'm not convinced he did pull the clutch in sufficiently if at all, and this could have been a contributing factor along with fuel/ignition/compression/flywheel changes to accommodate altitude.
