Great ride at thunder valley. I'm about as far from a Kawi guy as you can get but good to see him grinding it out, making that bike work and making the most out of his opportunity.

Prado did about the same this year as he did last year.
He feels best on Ktm.
Coenon finishes 2nd on Ktm.
Marchbanks finishes ahead of Prado.

Then we have Roczen win SX on a 2005 RMZ 450.

Also, we haven't heard Deegan blame anything about the bike, which is a plus.

Marchbanks is grinding and getting results. Congrats to him. Kawi must be pumped to be working with an adult.

This is what professional performance looks like. Consistent, no fuss and moving forward!

A lot of folks really do believe the bike is an issue. I don't.  I think the team may have some issues, and possibly a hired factory rider or two. But lets face it. Reality is Marchbanks has always been a little better outdoors than SX. But scoring 4th overall is even a high standard for Garrett. Truth be told, being on the factory KX450 is a Big reason Marchbanks is having an outstanding outdoor season. Maybe the bike is "an issue". Its propelled a good athelete/rider into a great athelete/rider.

He was definitely throwing some shade at Chase in the post race interviews from Lewis and Steve.

Marchbanks just needs to figure out how to start a little better. He has always struggled with starts.  He is coming from behind most motos.  I didn't think he has the speed to run with the Lawrence bros, but if it could start with them in the top three, I could see him beating anyone else.  He is right there with Prado.  IMO.

I recall a lot of speculation before the season about what would happen if Jorge beats Chase or vice/versa.

Did anybody have a spot on their Bingo card for Garrett possibly beating the both of them?

Marchbanks 4th overall and Top American!  Way to go Garrett!

Kind of reminds me of when Brad Lackey got 4th overall and top American at the 1972 Livermore California Trans-AMA race.

golden boy world champ getting pressured by a journeyman pro on the bike he couldn't figure out last year is just too sweet.

He’s only two points behind Prado so far, and I bet Kawasaki is paying him a small fraction of what they were paying Prado last year.  It wouldn’t surprise me to see him beat Chase when he comes back.  I would have never picked him for a top 10 guy this summer.  I was wrong.

Prado went backwards. Marchbanks is moving forward. Prado this year is also moving forward. Way different.

Really banking on his fitness to keep prada honest late in the moto.

His starts have been the best of his career so far this summer and he can stlll improve imo. Sexton has the slowest reaction time of any pro I’ve seen and G is second.
