That is AI sir. Easiest way to tell is to look at the smaller lettering.

When I put my deposit on one this morning and got the OTD price it originally had registration and plate fees. I told the guy if y’all can throw some blinkers and a plate on it EVEN BETTER! He laughed and removed the charges. Kinda wish I hadn’t said anything and had them figure out how to make it street legal instead.

Very optimistic of you - reality they would of charged you those fees and then not made it street legal and if you asked to remove it they'd say cool, step aside see the other 50 people standing in line out the door - take it or leave it sucka!

Not super crisp, but good enough to give you an idea.

It needs a green tank (just my opinion).

I wonder how much power it’s gonna have? Watching the Beta 350RX vids, you can tell that bike is a handful, especially on trails. I guess nothing a flywheel weight can’t fix. 😎

Thanks

Didn’t even notice the logo. On the road/on my phone.

That’s a pretty cool rendering…I probably should have noticed by the strangely modified BD 80ish light. 🤣

You zoom in and it almost looks like the kicker was left out at the last minute. Or maybe you could get rid of the starter and battery later?

The e start only thing has me confused. Maybe for the back canteen crowd.

Now that it finally is out, the only thing that amazes me is how, in the recent years, Japan has had no shame at all copying KTM (because this is more than inspiration, it is a copy). First it was the hydro clutch with a belleville wahser, no tool aribox, Brembo brakes, etc. Now, the engine looks the same as the KTM 300, they even have a nickel plated pipe instead of a black painted one. I am not hating at all, I am simply amazed by them doing this, because we usually call them stubborn, and "doing things the way they have always been done".

That’s perfect!

I don’t need a new bike, probably for the rest of my life (I’m old..) but I’ll probably own a 327X in the next couple years. If I didn’t have two kids starting college, one this year and one next year, I’d already have a deposit down.

And it’ll look just like that, but with a bare steel pipe.

Did you go with the x? I was going back and fourth but needed to make a decision on which one as the dealer said the rep told him they’re going cut off pre orders fast as they got hit with a lot of people putting Deposit down yesterday and today and the bike is selling fast . All my friends now ride trails now as we’re older so I ended up going with the x. And I’m sure if I do want to ride a track the x will still be pretty good for a old guy

They’re different, that’s like saying, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha were copying each others engine designs back when 2 strokes were still at the forefront because they looked similar. The Japanese brands all looked similar but were different. Were you expecting a modern fuel injected Japanese 2 stroke to look like what they were developing 20 years ago? 😂

I find it funny that Kawasaki designed an engine from scratch and somehow ended up placing everything exactly were it is on the SX 300 engine LOL. The cylinder head looks almost identical. The balancer could be placed elsewhere. Again, nothing wrong with that. But I think using a KTM as your base is pretty much saying "you guys have figured it out so good, that I have no other option but to copy you".

On the othee hand, look up a TM 300 engine, a Beta 300 RX one, etc. They all look different from each other. However even the tilt is the same on the SX and KX.

BTW: I can almost bet that you can take a 300 SX pipe and it would mount on the KX.

The fact that you posted a case reed engine arguing it is a copy of three other cylinder reed engines tells it all.

Where else did you want them to mount that electronic power valve? Cylinder heads have been almost identical on every single Japanese/Euro 2 stroke for the last 20 years, both these bikes have entirely different bottom end designs, both have case reeds, the cylinders themselves are different, not to mention Kymco isn’t producing Chinese cylinders for Kawasaki unlike KTM 😂

I thought we were arguing about cylinder heads? Not case vs cylinder reeds? 😂

Kymco is from Taiwan, not China.

Where do you guys get this odd ball incorrect information? The kx450 and kx450xc have the exact same chassis and triple clamps, same with the kx250/250xc.

KTM has "copied" many features they have used over the years from other manufacturers dating back to the 1980s (ATK, who built the prototype for KTM in the 1990s or so had a hydraulic clutch on one of their 1990 models).  All manufacturers do that.  Over time, technology evolves for everyone based on normal engineering research and development using computer aided engineering so it is logical that they come to similar/same designs. KTM designs and builds good bikes as does Honda (I am a devout Honda hater but I give them credit for building a great bike I would never bike).

Oh, if I remember correctly, KTM uses a female spigot on their pipe while it kinda looks like the KX spigot is a male.  So, if you want to upgrade to a "real bet" on that pipe, I'm game!

I keep coming back to this it looks so good. Maybe I'd like silver uppers or maybe even blue anodized like the 92s.  But if Kaw offered this exact colorway I'd sell my only born child to get one
