Believe it was metal god 3.

Watched the video and the whole thing was fine by everyone involved. Officer was fine, Haiden was fine, friend was fine. Give him 8 hours of community service and call it good.

I don't think the cop was power tripping at all.

He doesn't know who is in the car. He has to prepare himself for someone who is armed and high. He has to project authority so as to get the person breaking the law to comply.

I thought it was a perfect exchange from both the law and the law breaker....if anything Deeg's hurt his street cred by not saying  "Do you know who the fuck I am?" 😁

Not one hint of cringe...our guy Danger is forgetting to stay in character.

I see your point, but I think it became pretty clear right away who they were dealing with.

I would've snapped the 3rd tome he asked if had anything on me...

I just had no idea a kid could get cuffed and stuffed and brought downtown for ripping a doughnut in a vacant parking lot....

Meanwhile,  wheelieboys are across town....

What would you have done when you ‘snapped’?  The officers did nothing wrong. Deegan did nothing wrong in his interactions with them. He did the donuts and had the fake IDs, but those aren’t capital offenses.

If someone ‘snapped’ because they were treated the way that these officers treated Deegan, then they might have some serious entitlement issues that could take years of therapy just to put a dent in….!

Chill dude.

Snapped means, that at 19, I would have run my mouth more than deegs did...

What would have happened? I would have been in more trouble than deegs...

Dont read into my comments wrong.

I don't like deegs at all. Not a fan. But he handled himself perfectly.

I was simply giving him credit... sheesh.

Edit

Grew up in small farming town in the 80s/90s. If a cop catches us doing burnouts and he rolls up says hi and tells us enough for the night and next time he might have to ticket you. Not cuffed... Hard for me to comprehend.

People who talk like Spark on the internet have more than likely never dealt with police in any capacity. Which is not a bad thing at all. If you “snap” on the police because they ask if you have anything illegal on you, well you’re in for a bad day. Criminals don’t even “snap” at that kind of question. Someone with severe mental illness is the only person who’s gonna “snap” in a situation like that.

Plot twist, Aplman and Agn5008 are both cops. You can tell by the way they both built a profile of you rather than reexamine their own context.

Wow, crazy the freedom state throws You in jail for a donut.  I'm lucky I scouted places better for my creative driving in the past.  Even when I was caught doing much more dangerous things, I never got arrested.  But I was on private property for most of my creative driving.

Now kids are getting tickets for doing donuts in the snow in empty parking lots.  We used to live in snowy parking lots , drifting back when I was his age.  2 of us at a time drifting a course or taking turns.  I feel bad for kids these days in many ways.

they have to cater to the lowest common denominator, which is sadly becoming even more common. this makes it hard for garden variety mischief to find an outlet. spring break in florida is all but ruined as an example.  granted he shouldn't have been on a public roadway, and you gotta be careful whose parking lot youre marking up.

No disrespect intended. When you say “snapped” most of us obviously took that as you’d try to start a fight or something. Most of us can probably agree that would be incredibly stupid. My apologies for misinterpreting your comment.

About 20 years ago I was in Florida and met up with some Street bike stunt riders in an industrial park. There were 2 brothers that had just been on MTV  and my buddy  and they were in Florida for Stuntwars.  They were drifting and wheelieing in a parking lot and cul-de-sac. And the short stretch of road by the building at the end of the road.   They had a small crowd watching, The police came and one of my buddies gave them a handful of DVD's , some hats and T shirts and they watched for a minute and left. Back to funtimes.

It helped that one of the riders family owned the park and  they were handling the canning for Budweiser at the time.  It wasn't all of Bud's canning but it was a big % at the time. Like close to half I wanna say.  I don't remember the town .

Some screenshots from the video I have of it.  Sucks that some stuff is so strict now. I was blown away that we were just given the OK to play. It was a weekend and most of the business were closed , all they asked  was to stay back from the main road.

Meanwhile, in an alternate timeline where the cop let's Deegan call his parents:

Deegan:  "Hey dad I've been arrested for doing burnouts in my nepo baby car....lol I know right it's hilarious...listen can you get down here asap and make sure to bring my whole posse and the film crew."

That's funny. Thats why I finally clicked on the thread. I'm like why is this old thread at the top of the page? The body cam of Deegz arrest finally drop or something?

I was pretty impressed with how Lil’ Deegs handled it and I loved your “Meanwhile, the Wheelie-Boys…” perspective.

Ya know, as a dude in my 60s...my observation was this LEO sure was jacked up on his “huge bust”…he was a bit too excited about his non-big-deal bust. But, hey, that’s jus’ me.

Most people would define 'snapped' as losing your temper, blowing up, or creating a confrontation, not making a slightly snarkier comment than Deegan did.  So when you said you would've snapped, I responded to what the word actually means to most people. Later, you clarified that you just meant you might have 'talked back' a little more.

Fair enough.

But that's not me misreading your post.  It's you using a word that means something very different than what you intended.

And after all that, we still ended up in the same place.  Deegan handled it well, the cops handled it well, and talking more would've only made things worse.

Be even better than better. 😎

LOL!  I see most of you have never encountered law enforcement in the Panhandle of Florida before.🤣
They have a pretty dim view of any young males especially during Spring Break or summertime...probably because like you and me, they tend to act like dumbasses at that age.  After all, the area is commonly referred to as "The Redneck Riviera".
I grew up experiencing them and this I can promise you that this is normal Southern cop behavior but as long as you don't mouth off you'll come out of it OK. You know part of law enforcement is to deter bad behavior in the future so part of their schtick is to scare the bejesus out of you so you don't enjoy the experience and hopefully you'll learn not to repeat it.
