Tomac - What to expect this summer?

He has obviously already cemented his legacy, everything he does now is just a bonus imo. He got all my respect that he still wants to race outdoors and challenge the younger guys. He could have gone the Kenny route years ago with SX only.

But what we can expect? Will it be the same as last year or can he get back to his 2022 form on the KTM? Pala last year he obviously looked like we would be in for a great season with a lot of Tomac vs Jett battles but after that he didn't really look the same and even openly admitted about not being super comfortable on the Yamaha.

What do you guys think?

Some wins, some incredible battles, some amazing motos, and some weekends we’ll all be left scratching our heads.

What little I’ve read from him, he likes this bike. However, I want to see him a few races. Can he stay healthy is my question. If so, a top 3 finish is what I expect.

It's tough to say until we see his first race outdoors on the KTM. Lets say he's feeling good and ripping, I think he'll be up there in the fight. But those 3 podium spots are going a war to obtain with the talent this year. I just really hope everyone stays healthy cause there's so much potential for some epic battles. Definitely not looking forward to hearing "beast mode" every time Tomac is on camera though...

I've learned to not expect any thing from anyone, you get what you get.

From a podcast (I think Darkside?) he said he like the power package the outdoor setup bike provides.  He sounded smug so I presume that's a likey.

I would be over the moon if Tomac took the championship.  That would mean he beat some serious competition.  I wouldn't bet any money on it but It'd be cool as hell.

I’m of the opinion that he and his KTM are gonna be Stupid Fast at The Nationals this summer. His outdoor set-up makes “too much power” 🤣

I don't even know what to expect. Eli could barely break the top 5 or he could lap up to 5th. It's hard to say until we see it happen. As for me, I hope he scores one for us old guys.

Seems like he has been forgotten about by many due to the way SX went. Hopefully he is healthy and his start game is better for the great outdoors! He is still elite!

The only one im certain will perform well no matter what is Hunter. Rest, big question mark. And that’s what makes it exciting, just dont know what to expect. HYPED

Same Tomac we always get. The one who can’t get consistent enough starts to be a title threat.

Kidding, I have no idea, but glad he’s still out there at it. I think think championship is an extremely long shot but hey who’d have thought Kenny would’ve won SX in January? Just hope he stays healthy and happy.

A younger Eli on the Star Yamaha was getting consistently beat by both Hunter and Jett. I think Hunter is better than he was at that time. I love Eli and am a huge fan, but I don’t know how much he’s going to have much for either of the Lawrence brothers this summer.

I think he wins a few this year if he really likes that KTM outdoors. Gotta think he would have won more last year if he would have been on the older gen Yamaha. The newer 23+ YZF wasn’t as good outdoors as the 22 was. It never looked as stable at speed

I think the biggest challenge will be staying healthy and recovery. He used to hardly ever get hurt, as he's gotten older injuries just seem to happen much more often. Eli's talked about having to adjust his training as he ages on podcasts before, but you just don't recover as fast at 33 as you do at 25.

I still believe his best is as good as anyone though. Hoping we get to see him healthy and happy often this season.

Another huge Eli fan, it will take a few races for me to decide how I think he will do. I love his comments about how he loves the bike, I just have to wait and see. I just hope he does th ebest he can, is in it most the summer, and is healthy all of summer, and the playoffs.

Call me crazy but I have no doubt the dude can win this title. I think he will be his quickest yet this summer and will be a consistent threat to win. He is my pick.

Just don’t see him as a title contender. He’s the new Larocco. “If he would have got the start” guy but never does. Jett, Hunter, Prado, Deegan. These guys are just amazing starters and Eli isn’t going to be able to pass those guys or even catch them when he gets his weird 15th place starts. He’s doesn’t move forward as good as Jett or Hunter either. He is more prone to settling into others paces than the rest. Hes shown it over and over
