My buddy, Jeff Long, is going to custom paint one of my helmets to match. I'm pretty excited about that.
Also.....i'm on the same boat as every single person in this thread.....the old JT stuff was the friggin' best gear on the planet!
I'm coming into this thread late, but I have a couple of questions. I'm doing an in-depth feature story on JT, John and Rita, and the 'new' JT Racing, info about which will surface over the weekend of November 19/20 at the AMA HOF Induction dinner in Vegas. Let's just say it'll be HUGELY interesting for anyone who loved JT stuff back in the day. Ahem.
Anyway, I'm looking for any hi-rez scans of ads, gear, posters, photos, etc. from the '70s and '80s. I have some early stuff, but some of the bits I've seen here look plenty interesting. Obviously, we'll give the sender credit for the images and scans.
I'm also looking for some stories or quotes from you about the company, their impact, their racers, etc. for the piece. Shoot them my way at Mitch@motoretroillustrated.com.
Thanks much,
Mitch

where did your buddy get that lid from?
Pit Row
But I remember that a Suzuki US rider wore it in the 1998 season. I think it was Lorusso (?).

I had some awesome black and white Honda pants by JT. They would make semi custom stuff for a while.
Best looking gear of all time for sure.To bad they can't bring it back.
:
JT Racing... 58 days and counting for the big re-launch... hum... wouldn't they need a really big name? hum... ;-)
