This might've been covered in another thread...so please humor me. IF Jett Lawrence is truly still hurt, and in pain (as some have said)...will he and HRC take the chance of further, and more severe injury by putting him on the line of the 1st Outdoor National of 2026?

He’s racing.
He will race and likely win.
I think this is a game. Act hurt. Show video with a limp. Beat Deegan while Deegan thinks he’s hurt.
Oshow said he’s been riding for two months on TV. He’s fine.

Jetts interview on the broadcast and what he said in the latest The Lawrences video (near the end) seemed completely different, did anyone else notice? I bet he is fine like Johnny said, they're probably just playing games with us lol.
I think walking and riding loads the foot differently. With a boot on and finding some comfort I’ll bet he is riding without it being an issue. Walking on the other hand is probably still painful. Especially uphill on a concrete ramp like on RDL. I have had foot issues for years and limp from time to time. With a boot on I forget all about it.
Makes sense. Act hurt, then when you get beat you have an automatic excuse. Brilliant
They already are. Jett and the team have to make that decision, but it’s obvious Jett is still hurt. The nonverbal coming from HRC could be pressuring Jett to race. He is a good guy and wants to do a good job for the team, but if he’s hurt, he needs to stay out a couple of races and get it healed.
This. If he wins, he’s a hero. If he loses, he was too injured.
I don’t think there’s an opponent, aside from Hunter, in the 450 class that believes even for a split second that he’s going to be anything less than 100%.
Oh for sure. He also said the main problem was just having limited range of motion with the foot currently. But it was more about like not sounding confident at all on the broadcast interview compared to the Lawrences video where it sounded like he was definitely ready. Haha
I’m surprised only a few have caught on to this. It’s what Jett did with his last injury. Then when he raced it was very obvious he was 100%.
That makes sense. I hadn’t seen the Lawerence video. I just saw him walking in the stadium in SLC and that was my first thought. I understand why people question it now due to their video. Either way going to be fun to watch this summer and I personally think he’s going to look comfortable on the bike but again just my opinion and hope.
If walking uphill hurts...which bends the front of the foot upward...riding on the balls of the feet and stretching back a bit...bends the front of the foot upward.
We will definitely see come raceday.
It doesn't get by people who pay attention and learn from past experiences.
He likes to use the Killdeer or opossum tactics when he can.
Idk man I see some old dudes at the track that can hardly walk the hop on the bone and go pretty good
Could go either way, he uses his feet alot to control the bike........but was scooter bound for a while, likely lost dexterity.

Pit Row
an 80% Jett is still better than 100% of the 450 field at 100%
ya, that's the plan alright. Jett, Dad, Lars, they had a meeting and came up with this as an excuse if he loses, brilliant!. Dude, are you for real with that logic? Kinda scary that people like this walk among the rest of us. Just a immature comment with no actual thought about it at all. Hopefully your just trying to be funny and not really that clueless.
Afraid to ask if we’re still talking about riding dirt bikes.
Travis Pastrana comes to mind.
I’d guess that the foot will probably cause him some problems and pain for a long time, possibly permanently. At this point it’s a matter of whether it will be likely made worse by racing, and if not, then even if it hurts there might be nothing to be gained by not racing, other than pain avoidance. I don’t think he’s sitting out to avoid discomfort. If limits range of motion that could certainly affect his riding and he’ll have to adapt. If that’s the case, I’d expect it to take some time for him to get back to full speed. So I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not winning right away. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if he does win immediately. A slightly compromised Jett could still be the fastest guy on the track.
That’s the key question I think; Will racing cause further injury? If not, I think he’s racing even if it hurts. So I wouldn’t read too much into him limping around.
Don't ask, don't tell. 🤫
Rider smashes ankle and foot to smithereens and a few months later is trying to race the opening round of the outdoors.
Vital: "He's faking an injury."
Don’t be dramatic
