No one can play this as an exhibition race, come on. Deegs wanted to lay a whooping on these guys one last time, to show everyone he is the big dog, so get stuffed with that line of thinking. Cole has been waiting on this opportunity for a year, and stood up to the wonder boy-good for him. Davies is the real deal and will be a problem for everyone in a few years. Play silly games, win silly prizes.....

Deegs doesn't win: "He didn't even want to win so congrats I guess???"

It's literally you spike and like 3 other members that constantly spam bed bug ideology. FOH

You will never reason with them, there is just no situation in their minds where Deegan loses straight up.

I've read a bunch of comments on Instagram posts, one guy in particular, who keeps saying that Deegan lost on purpose and was putting on a show. He did it to grow the sport and to give the fans something to remember, and everyone else is stupid for not realising this and he's playing 4d chess...

He's proven several times over the past couple of years that when he's challenged and someone is faster than him, he can't handle it and gets the red mist. Instead of settling in he has to go full douchebag and try the take out moves. Shit, he was so rattled by Davies passing him that he crashed all by himself in the sand.

I tend to agree. Anytime he gets challenged, he begins looking back, checking up and using defensive lines. In the 450s there are too many fast guys to be concentrating on one competitor & sacrificing lap times. In the 450 class, they typically forgive & forget real fast, in pursuit of pushing forward. Look at the guys who don't 'forgive & forget' - they are usually the guys who aren't hugely successful. That's not to say he won't already know this and adjust accordingly. He will adjust, I'm sure.

You can call it an ‘exhibition throw away’, but don’t forget the fact that Deegs loves to exhibit his talent. No doubt he wanted to close out 250SX with another dominant win. Honestly it sounds like you’re the one trying to cope

Deegs is undeniably fast, and he wanted to win this race.

He’s going to be a contender in 450s this summer, but he’s not gonna be able to waste time playing games. We’ll probably see him lose out a few times from doing that sort of thing. But we’ll probably also see him learn from his mistakes and figure it out.

2nd this. You can tell the moment he got bumped, he just saw red. He made up ground on Davies really quick, and I really think he could have made the pass back if he was patient. But the kid needs to learn not to go ape shit and keep his cool. This is how he got injured last year and very well could’ve killed his outdoor season. No doubt maturity will kick in but it better happen quick cuz the 450s ain’t no joke.

Deegan got chased down by Cole because Cole was initially faster last night, so he decided to start riding like a bitch.   I respect a dude who knows how to ride the bike fast. I am not really a fan of the "lets take out his front wheel so I dont have to race him using my speed" mindset.

I am a Deegz fan but come on man, he was wanted this win but ended falling on his own sword. He needs to get better in this situations, straight up. Davies got him fair and square, he’s no chump. Deegan just got impatient and threw away his final 250 race.

I’m not a Deegan fan. But I’ll give him credit any time a weakness has shown up in his riding and racing he has adapted and fixed it and continually became better and faster. I don’t see why this wouldn’t be the narrative moving forward.

This. I'm far from a Deegz cheerleader. But if you think he wont be back to the drawing board with his team working on his game on Monday, you haven't been paying attention. He puts the work and and I fully expect him to address his weaknesses. Also, showed a lot of maturity in the post race interview. Of course, everyone said he was being insincere and was actually fuming. Dude cant win

Imagine if he tried as hard to win as he does playing juvenile games.

250 class is for juveniles.
450 class is for adults.

Deegan just needs to learn some patience, and he just may have tonight.  He easily reeled Cole back in after he got punted and he had plenty of time to setup another pass on Cole but he rushed it, and blew it.  I think this was actually a great learning lesson for Deegan because when he watches the replay, he'll realize he really f'd up by letting one last 250 win get away from him by simply being impatient.  He also let the fans down by failing to deliver another Levi/Deegan cat and mouse show all the way to the checkers.  I say it was a good learning experience in a race that did not matter.

You got that backwards. It is the Deegan haters that have on rose colored glasses.  Deegan can win 8 in a row, and then when he loses one, threads like this pop up basically saying Deegan is Barcia 2.0. And this idea that when Deegan is challenged, he folds, is a funny one.  Deegan has been challenged a lot in his 250 career.  Hunter Lawrence and JCoop at Washougal, Levi Kitchen, Jo, Chance Hymus, Julien Beaumer, Tom Vialle, and others.  Been challenged plenty of times, but once again, the douche squad of Deegan haters will isolate one or two races and then argue that Haiden gets the "red mist" any time he is challenged.

Deegan got beat, it's as simple as that. If he would have showed a little patience, he had a good shot at the win. But he lost. It happens, and it will happen again.  Cole got beat by Deegan twice this season. RC has been beat, Jett has been beat, every great rider on the line has been beat.

Its both. The haters are frothing at the mouth to attack him and his fans cant give anyone else credit for beating him. Of course, he rarely loses! So when he does actually drop one, people are so ready to pounce. I dont disagree with anything you said here. Deegz 250 career was stellar. The improvements he made to his sx game between '25 and '26 were so drastic. His whoop speed is top level now. Nobody even wants to give him credit for his post race maturity

You think 450 guys are gonna play around w/ that? Until he races FORWARD, he's going to find himself picking up his bike. A LOT.

So I do agree with some of this.  He got impatient, and tried to make a move that wasn't there instead of waiting another lap.  He's very good at being the hunter, less so the hunted..... right now.

That camp as a whole seems to be able to fix weaknesses.  I bet they work on it.

This

Beginning with futures he has always “ fixed” whatever was necessary .
And became a winner .
If history is any indicator , 450s may not be much different .

Naw he’ll get over it and figure it out.  Jett’s brother ain’t got shit if he’s gonna be a choke artist when it counts.

His haters have relegated themselves to hoping for crashes or take outs. I imagine it’s been pretty painful for them to watch him become 4x 250 champ and join the likes of RC, JS, RV, and JL. Let the haters have this one, Deegs played around with his food and got caught while getting cute. I think he’ll learn from it. Nobody is going to remember that when he shocks the world this summer.

he wasnt pressured, he slowed down...you think he just started jumping the whoops and taking all the high lines because he was trying to get a gap? lmao. He did the same thing to kitchen in their race, he was bored he wanted a battle.  Cole got past him and haiden reeled him right back in.  this was a young kid playing games, not some guy who "cracked under the pressure". He came off the track laughing, highfiving cole and his mechanic, gave props in the interviews, and was smiling the entire time.  Must have been all that pressure getting to him.

the only people cracking are the #38 haters who foam at the mouth anytime the kid isnt perfect, and write him off again and again and again.

if only deegan would hope on vital and take advice from all the psychoanalysts and sports performance experts that bless all these threads.  We truly are lucky.

That’s a nonsense mantra that needs to be put out to pasture. One race doesn’t define a racer. All of the riders have had bad nights and off days. Hunter had one and it cost a premier title.

I didn’t see it that way. Deegan is going to be just fine. I more saw it as Davies is going to be just fine and they are all going to give us great years of racing

Do you boys think that Deeg will ever be treated like Ken was last night?  Kenny has a lot of friends, Deeg maybe not so much.

Not a deegan fan, but he will mature, if it’s a maturity issue. He’s making a lot of money for a lot of people. Their best interest is for him to not make stupid or immature decisions. You can bet that they are going to be in his ear about “race craft”. His games with Jo last year cost him $500,000 in the SMX championship.

He’s got talent, he’s fit, but that’s not enough in the 450 class. As others have stated, few 250 riders seem to be willing to go toe to toe with him on the track. In the 450 class that will probably not be the case. Only time will tell.He certainly adds interest to the class.

Although what’s up with the tongue thing on the podium? Gene Simmons wanna be?

Deegs may have been fastest this year but when push came to shove he got his ass kicked every time. The boys a punk, a really fast punk but a punk none the less. It’s easy to see he has lived a sheltered life.

I do my best to respect all these riders  but Deegan is just unbearable and his fans are even worse. Every time someone tries to challenge him, he resorts to his spoiled childish behavior.  It’s like watching the D class at an arenacross. Hopefully he gets humbled in the 450 class.

He won all but 2 races this season. And those 2 races he got 4th. It’s obvious you don’t like him but you are not speaking truth with your post.

Well they like to compare Degen to Jett so let's see if he can go 22-0 in his Rookie season, if he doesn't it's a failure.
