I saw on Swap IG that Masterpool was offered a fill in ride with PC.

Deep dark depression, excessive rectal itch... Sorry, had to have lyrics that rhymed with "Mitch". (Maybe Preparation H can be their new sponsor?)

Its crazy to me that most of these dudes cant change who they are as far as crashing. RJ broke the mold a little this year and held it together long enough for a title. What makes these guys "crashers" over others? The raw speed is obviously not a problem. Just seems whenever you read injury news like this, most of the time you're like yep, saw that coming

same exact story applies for him. Some riders just need to slow down and accept the fact that they dont have controllable, consistenly replicable elite speed.

Anyone can ride until they crash, that isnt skill, its just gravity.

But seriously, if you are busting out laps every day, its a case of when , not if.

MotoGP guys seem to get hurt on MX bikes just as much.

While you cant win a series coming off the couch, there is a point where you are as ready as you can be.

Agree, never understood why these guys ride so much during the week. It is too much of a liability

The simple fact is there is no replacement for seat time.  New parts have to be tested... suspension settings have to be logged...and just plain old melding with the machine.

At their level they don't lose skill or talent in a week but they have to become one with that steel (aluminum) horse.  Grinning

Fast guys might stop crashing.

Slow guys are slow.

Just got announced McAdoo and Hammaker got injured practicing this week. They will miss Pala.

See PR from RacerX: https://racerxonline.com/2024/05/23/kitchen-in-hammaker-and-mcadoo-out-…

"Unfortunately, Seth Hammaker and Cameron McAdoo won’t be lining up this weekend due to practice crashes leading into the opening round. Maximus Vohland and Austin Forkner are still in their recovery process from injuries earlier in the year."

To be honest, I don't think it's a curse. I just think Seth and Cameron ride over their heads. They clearly can't handle the reaction time and control necessary to go at the speeds needed to be elite guys.

Problem is if they slow down, theyll be in the same range as Brown and DiFrancesco. So it's better if they try to look like heros by going fast, win a race, extend the contract, crash out, stay injured, and do another year in 250s. Cameron will be 27 next year, Seth will be 24 by the end of SMX.

They're good guys, but serious conversations need to be made. It ain't luck getting injured every season. Look at guys like Shimoda, Kitchen, Deegan, Vialle who are younger and have been able to figure it out both speed wise and injury wise.

You could've made this argument about Jordon Smith just a couple years ago. Possibly against Hampshire as well, since both are fairly old to be in the 250f class, both have been injury plagued and both have missed countless gate drops.

Yet here you are. Because you've got it figured out................smh!

Can you clarify if you are really saying Smith isn’t a crasher? The same guy that couldn’t wait 2 more minutes to pass his teammate so he took himself out trying to pass him? Maybe you are using that sarcasm thing 🤷‍♂️

Did he really? More like got lucky Kitchen got caught up with his teammate, and racing a series where the competition is split between series. I would venture to guess RJ finishes more around 5th in the final points outdoors than 1/2

I mean every series ever has had something happen where you could have said so and so could or would have won. The fact is, RJ is the champ and in previous years all the coulda woulda went against him. If you compare previous years, RJ definitely stayed off the ground more in that series and the result was a title

Well, he better make the best of it if that happens. Not saying he can't, just saying it's now or never.

Time to give pro riding coaches/mentors like DV some really big jobs in these teams, from amateur recruiting to the champ mentoring. The ROI would be quick !

When did it become a ”curse” to hire riders that are prone to hit the ground?.

Then the curse is real. How long does Masterpool last?

They could be lined up at pala but after that yard sale in the whoops and Cameron being made of glass this headline could very well be a thing again

Where's that list again,,,

Mitch is gonna let McAdoo do this for the next decade or so, isn't he.
