My crystal ball thinks HD and Jett will be close in speed, except Jett will look smooth and effortless and Haiden will be on the edge of disaster, how long can he avoid disaster will be the key. I know that's not new news. I can't wait !

ps. I really hope ET, Hunter,  JC32, CW2, Prado,  Sexton and AP7  (yeah I know...) and maybe a couple surprises all come out swinging and keep it a multiple winner scenario, one can hope.

He has been super consistent and injury free so far except for the SMX final, that's for sure. But he also had some huge luck on his side with some crashes. There has been a couple moments (Hangtown or Redbud when he landed on someones bike) where he was able to just roll it out and instantly get back up again. I still can't believe how he avoided injury with that Redbud crash which was also completely out of his hands. As sumdood said tho, 450s are gonna be a different most likely.

That's exactly the game. Nothing gets under peoples skin like an ignorant toddler. He knows exactly what he's doing.

I see deegs overriding trying too hard to impress and yard-selling. Still too young and arrogant imo

But I will say I don't think Deegan would be playing these games if outdoors prep wasn't going well. He's gonna be ready for battle.

Wait, he brought Jetts girl into this? Lol

Even if he has the speed to challenge them, I wouldn't want them as enemies, not gonna lie. Remember what happened to Forkner or Anderson? These brothers turn into an actual tag team and specially Hunter has zero problems cleaning someone out. I remember when Forkner tried to mess with Hunter in qualifying. Hunter cleaned him out two corners later, he was having none of it.

Remember when Hunter was a lap down waiting for Anderson and cleaning him out after he had his issues with Jett and then with Hunter that race? These two are not the 250 riders Haiden raced in the last two years. If he is going to play games, he's gonna find out quick probably. But man I can't wait for it. Those next couple years are gonna be absolutely nuts and I'm so ready for it. 😅

The whole thing is just weird. He thinks he's playing mind games when really Jett is clearly in his head rent free without even trying. It seems Jett doesn't even acknowledge it or even care.

Dingus is either supremely confident or supremely naive, or both. To focus your attention on the defending champion who is coming back from injury whilst seemingly not worrying about/diss proven race winners and past champions like Tomac, Sexton, Hunter, Prado etc is a bold move.

If you compare their 250 careers, Jett had 2 injuries, Deegan has also had 2. So if you compared them both at the same stage of their careers, they're even

I think this whole thing with the IG post is so lame. To be fair I think the whole mindgames stuff is already pretty lame but like what could this possibly do? It's just free promotion for her music. I didn't even know who she was or that she made music before the post.

Is Jett supposed to feel disrespected and that Deegan crossed a line by picking a public song to post on his riding? The one guy who actually did play the headgames thing right imo was Jason Lawrence, but that guy was more focused on fucking with his competition than he was with actually being a better rider than them so it didn't even do him much good.

I mean I guess I could understand how Deegan thinks he's totally getting under Jett's skin for this, but if you're someone who has faced actual problems/adversity in life and have been properly socialised amongst your peers rather than the man-friends of your dad with CTE, you're probably closer to feeling second hand embarrassment from this than you are anger or humiliation or whatever you were supposed to feel

Isn't Haiden always hurt around the same time every year, around MXON  time maybe?

I think Jason Lawrence was authentic with his antics.  Deegan seems to actually work at being a villain...that's fine, but I don't want to be able to see the work.  That said, I like watching deegan ride, he's incredibly talented for sure.

So lame that in this age mind games are in social media...

I hope the real mind game will begin when Jett starts beating him, no need of posting shit in IG.

I don't like either of them, but at least Jason was authentic and pretty funny. Deegan to me feels like a husk of a person, even he's unsure of who he is because he's been made to follow a brand by his father who is devoted to marketing. His emotions never feel genuine, like everything is an act. I get genuine psychopath vibes from him.

I know this will be viewed as over analysis and bullying of a 20 year old child by a grown ass man but this is what I've noticed and I'm just discussing a moto rider on a moto forum. I feel like you often see similar things in celebrity/influencer children with overbearing coach parents, just not in moto.

But the actual reason I hate Deegan is because he's annoying. I just find him extremely irritating. Can't stand listening to him talk. Might not even be his fault, but the outcome is the same for everyone else.

Deegan is still hurting from that press conference when he said "who wants to sit next to the king" and Jett didnt say a word and took the seat.

It will be the ultimate big dick move if Jett doesn’t acknowledge it whatsoever, and just works Haiden every weekend.

Brian should concentrate on his next botox appointment rather than encouraging his son to post silly social media bullshit...

As for Jett, his work speaks for itself...remember Red Bud last year, or Southwick?

The difference between the two is that one was a one hit wonder that didn’t put in the work and wasted his talent.

Remember when Alessi came on the 450 scene and got so much hate for wearing a "Believe the Hype" T-Shirt? Deegan makes Alessi look humble. Alessi also paid for it on the track.

I think social media will be the only place Deegan will have to talk smack for the first year or 2, I don't see him being on the podium very often...maybe they do a 4th place interview with him...

That may be true...and one of the similarities between the two is that they are both Regional 250 SX Champions.  Not many can say the same.

Jett probably welcomes this. People have said he worries about getting bored maintaining five-second leads every race. He wants a challenger.

Well one is a multi time champ both indoors and out….the other…well the record speaks for itself

Still think a lot of you have it wrong. Haiden's coming into this MX season ready to learn and gauge where he is at before being full time 450 next year, much like he did those few rounds of WSX he raced.. I truly don't think he is set on running with Jett right away and will only do it when and if he feels comfortable enough to do it, otherwise I think a lot of you are putting expectations on Haiden that he doesn't even have on himself for this outdoor season.

One of Jett's few weaknesses is that gets bored. I'm sure talking shit is the move

Deegan is pretty smart IMO. If he has a shot at beating Jett this year it’s definitely early on before he is back at his best and full fitness.

Now might be his only chance for mind games for a while. It’s a long shot. But possibly the only one he gets.
