good stuff.
Why did that race disappear from the schedule? I only went there one time, but I remember it being a fun event.
It’s pretty amazing looking back that RC only got beat twice outdoors his entire time at Honda
Thanks for doing this Ru-Pért.

What I was told was that Tom Hurd couldn't or wouldn't do upgrades that were being required by whoever was running the nationals at the time, so he sold the rights for the race to the promoter of Freestone.
At the time, the prevailing thinking/ reasoning was that there were issues with the facility, NY had two (2) races and they damn sure weren’t getting rid of Unadilla…..
It was an awesome time for mx in NY when both nationals were back to back with usually a break between. Frozen Ocean was absolutely insane during that time.
These are all fantastic. Got any from Binghamton by chance?
Those mullets are awesome
+45 on Stewart's pit board is absolutely bonkers.
Right!!! Especially at that track. Insane
And J-Bone telling stew to do one more hard lap with that 45+ second lead 😂😂😂 just demoralizing the competition back then.
That was the biggest takeaway for me, too. Unreal.
Sick Picks Rup!
Absolutely wild that 13 year old me would have been standing right here, just out side of the frame, with my Pops.
That looks like Steel City - not Broome.
Pit Row
I believe that is correct. Also, a request like this is why the unadilla start got shortened and filled in to my knowledge.
It’s definitely broome
These are awesome, keep em coming RupDawg, love this era of moto!!!
100% Broome
Rocks much? Never knew how bad they were there. Gnarly.
No ruts!
So many good memories from Broome including Bradshaw on a 125 absolutely flying down that gnarly downhill WFO until it looked like he was surely going to plow right into the crowd. Then laying it down so low that the bars almost dragged and somehow making the corner and getting right back on the gas -- every lap. And in contrast, JMB skipping down the same hill and between wheelies and creative doubles, barely cracking the throttle all the way down. Crazy impressive.
First national I ever went to was Broome. 12 years old walked up to the fence and Carmichael tripled the step down table in the front and railed the berm right in front of me on a CR250. The smell of the race fuel smacked me right in the face, and from that moment on my life was changed. Born was a moto kid.
My bad... I'm used to seeing the track from the front section, and that angle looked similar to Steel City. Its been a few years for sure...lol
Pretty sure I see me and my bro-in-law in the crowd also. Remember that day like yesterday... how crazy loud Windham's bike was WFO up that long hill from the right hander and RC just wringing the piss out of the 2-stroke.
