Probably too early. RDL said he'll rest up. Didn't mention if he'll be out for the afternoon. I guess we'll see how it goes in the second qualifying session if he lines up. He had a good enough time that he could sit it out and line up for the first main. 

Might be better to skip the second session.

looks like a controlled bailout attempt. Positives: he didn't get launched over bars ahead of his bike, piledriven into ground head 1st, landed on, etc. Going to be sore for sure but hopefully won't keep him out of the main.

I wouldn’t blame him if he hung it up this year. It’s been a rough go the last few seasons. He’s a legend and I’m glad he’s still giving it a go but maybe family time is the way
