I had to leave during the broadcast this weekend, I heard some of what Jett said, but did he ever mention how his recovery is going?

He kind of waffled it and didn’t exactly say it was going great, but he also didn’t say there were any major complications either. I do believe he did say he started riding on flat again just to get some of the scar tissue broken up. My guess is he’s at round 1, maybe not 100% but it seems like he’ll be there.

^^^^this.

Even if he shows up, then begins racing his way back into top form, that's good enough for this fan.

He doesn't have to win every race.

He still has a long, competitive, future (if he wants it) in moto.

It’s tricky. He doesn’t want come back too soon but he may have to give up on the championship.

If you break your ankle, are you not allowed to work out your upper body. He looked thin in that interview. Could also be the mumu he was wearing.

Didn’t he return once before (last year?) from injury at less than 100% ready and still stomp them into the ground and win and cry about it on the podium?

Hunter, Prado, Tomac, and Chase will need to sweep a few races early if they think they will have a chance to win the title. Jett won't be 100% at the beginning. If the others kind of split the wins, that will work to Jett's advantage.

Odds are good that Hunter wins the first three races IMO.

yes but, from what's been revealed this appears to be a much more devastating injury to recover from than an ACL

When ever Jett comes back he won’t be ready for Pradno.

Prado is going to be a madman this summer...you watch. If some of the other racers don't like him now, it will go to another level soon.

Well for one, you can race pretty effectively with a torn acl, you cannot race effectively with this current injury unless it's healed properly. Those are just the facts.

yep, there's very good braces available to support knees with compromised or missing ACLs. 1st time I ever heard of this current Jett injury so curious if there is even any brace out there to support the ankle to prevent reinjuring if you ride on it?

The 1st outdoor race is 7 weeks away so since he is already cleared by doctors and back on the bike he has enough time to still be a contender by racing smart .

Championships are won on your bad days.

Listening to Jett in this segment at Nashville concerns me…. A very tentative “I would say yes”.  And “ you never know”.  Not nearly as positive as others make it sound.  Still seems like it’s possible he’s there, but not 100%.

Just being humble sounds like. He is quietly confident, Deeg’s does the opposite is all.

Wasn’t he on a mountain bike a few weeks ago? On a turn track now. Unless you’re there to see what he’s doing everyday few people know his status. I would show little to no riding and let my competition think I’m not ready regardless if I am or not.

Truman said he put gear on and rode around the field….not quite getting rolling on a turn track imo but I know everyone wants to be optimistic

Is this similar to the injury that Michael Jordan had on his foot back in the 90's?  That Netflix show "The Last Dance" makes it sound exactly the same. Told him if he didn't let it heal properly and fucked it up again his career would be over & the poor blood flow is what makes it such a difficult injury to ever recover from. Some never do 100% but can still be top athletes.

Gamesmanship at play. He’ll be ready.

What does he have to gain by waffling?  Are Sexton and Deegan going to be less prepared for round 1 if they think Jett might not be there?

He might not gain much, but Sexton and Deegs might get annoyed wondering is he coming back, is he not coming back, what’s going on with him, is he 100% or is he not. Jett is very clever. He plays the psychology game. Btw, on Gypsy Tales Jett said he would for sure be ready for outdoor.

Fan here. I’d like to see him extend his win streak at Pala, but I will understand if that doesn’t happen

Did I miss something? When was Jett ever not thin? Either way a Lawrence will win Pala

with many having so much doubt..

pure hypothetical.. if Jett comes back and goes 1-1, Does that effect the rest of the fields confidence? or change the script on anything?

I don’t think so…. Jett going 1-1 at Pala is quite normal.  It would just affirm that he’s ready to race.

I’m more interested in Hangtown…. Other riders have shown they can compete with the Lawrence’s there.

Did you forget to mention Deegan on purpose?  Like him or not, he's a contender.

When Webb found out Jett was out he decided to switch back to the “25 chassis. Their level of preparedness might not change but their confidence level would definitely go up if they find out he’s not ready or there’s setbacks.
