Probably unpopular opinion but for actually attending I prefer the day race.  Safer leaving the stadiums and time to actually go get something to eat after.

Safer? People living their life in fear of being outside but say they “ride”.

I agree, especially with small children.

Pound sand never said I lived in fear but downtown stadiums in sketchy areas isn't exactly preferred.

To “grow” the sport the next two races are being aired on nbc as well as peacock. Do people even have just regular tv any more? And most of the races this year aren’t under the lights as they have been starting at 7 est everywhere, even out west.

Grow the sport? How about getting rid of Dumb and Dumberer from the broadcast team...

"why cant our sport be mainstream?"

"Why cant we get more sponsors?"

Weeeeeh weeeeeh

Two weeks of live coverage on nbc in the middle of one of the closest points battles in a decade between a legend, an awesome comeback, and the guy trying to breakout and a bunch of you pacifier addicts whine about having to get up early

Awwww

The only people watching actual nbc now days are senior citizens and the extremely poor... great crowd to market sx to... lmaoooo... it hurts our sport being on nbc compared to youtube,  Netflix or amazon...

I miss the days of ATL and "Tongue & Groove", though.

They don't let you bring personal protection devices into the stadium,  seeing you come out of the building would make you a prime target.

Fresh air? In a city? Maybe you need to get out of mom's basement and head to the country

I need to look at the schedule to see what time I start drinking beer…………..🍺

I haven’t drank beer at 10:30 since Covid lockdown days!

I would rather have a day race in Detroit. Getting home at midnight sucks.

I live in constant fear of myself for what I would do to the individual I catch messing with something I own. You speak like someone who's never split a wig and had to deal with the mess. It's just easier to avoid.

Let’s say half a million extra screens tune in Saturday on NBC

Many probably in restaurants and boring waiting rooms..

Half a million more TVs will be showing an epic title battle between legends of our sport!

I hope the random people that see it.  Enjoy the show!

Yeah I don’t get it. A lot of old heads probably enjoy the early race times so they can get to bed at an early time, but I ride and race Dirtbikes for fun on the weekend, and like to catch the race that evening after unloading the bikes, grilling some burgers/ordering pizza and stuff.

It sucks that it’s getting to where I have to watch the replays.

Supercross shouldn’t be any earlier than 6 or 7pm

Saturday part one: riding irl (rare on this board)

Saturday part two: FATT cheat meal and the race.

Day races suck but at least the replay is up by evening.

You should leave a drunken rambling PM for him like you did for me.

I am happy for SX to be on a larger network, but mid-day races should never happen again.

Have any of you ever ended up a fan of a sport that you stumbled upon because it happened to be on? I have not. I do not believe this is a thing that happens. I'm not sure it happened 40 years ago when you had 3 networks to choose from, but I can't imagine it happens now when networks are dying and everything is on demand streaming. NBC needed to fill some air time, thats all this is about.

Ask mom if she can give you a better comeback than that.

I would argue those events prove my point. People watched because they turned those events into spectacles and promoted the hell out of them, but as much as people think curling is cool when it's fed to them, they don't start following the sport and watching other events. Millions of viewers and social media posts and very few people retained as fans once that one event is over.
