Kids very talented.

A total dirtbag who has been groomed from day 1 by his own dad and given every opportunity to ensure this was the outcome, but he is still talented.

Good ole dirtbag Deegan.

Bring on outdoors where he gets to play, or not, with the big boys…

Brian or Haiden didn’t even want to look at JT before they got interviewed, Brian eventually did, but Haiden still stared right through him. That was funny.

You always gave him a compliment there without giving him any credit for working his ass off. Bravo

The guy is an absolute weapon in the 250 class. The 450 is a different animal though. Bring on the great outdoors!

I see your dad did some grooming too.

Anyone who thinks this kid is not going to be wicked fast on a 450 is naive or kidding themselves.

Especially outdoors. I love that last year towards the end of sx, he was like lets get to mx.

Absolutely decimated the field...  Deegan killed it in SX this year.  I think he's going to have flashes of brilliance and a few rides where he's brought back down to earth this year outdoors.  But then he's a total title contender going forward.

Don't care for the personality...  Still don't care for the controversial events along the way.  And on the mic, he can be a little douche...  But that is what some of his fans like and want.  So it is what it is.  Kid hauls ass on a dirt bike.

Not everyone is Jett. Actually, almost everyone isn't Jett. To think he's going to come out and set the world on fire from gate drop #1 is naive. He will win some races but there will be growing pains along the way.

I don't think anybody is claiming Deegan is going to come out and straight-up beat Jett every round from the get-go (except some of his teenage superfans). We know how brilliant Jett is. But there have been people for a while claiming that Deegan will have his hands full fighting for his life for a top 5, and that he's gonna get "humbled" by guys like Anderson and Barcia. I think those statements are ludicrous. I would honestly be surprised if he wasn't consistently battling within the top 3 at most rounds this summer.

Tomac won his first 450 motocross title in his 4th season

Villopotto won his first 450 motocross title in his 3rd season

Chad Reed won his first 450 motocross title in his 6th season

James Stewart won his first 450 motocross title in his 4th season

It can take a few years, even for some of the legends.

I don't expect Deegan to win it in his first or second season, but it could happen.

Through all the hate and controversy one thing is certain, dude can ride that mfer. I could definitely be lumped in with the haters, but I gotta give him this. At least I'll have a reason to cheer for Jett.

The stiffer competition really brought him back down to Earth last summer. 9 overalls and 18 moto wins, I believe. Meanwhile Deegz won 7 Nationals in the kiddie class last summer. The build up for this can't be bigger than James versus RC can it?

Not to take anything away from Jett since he has dominated the 450 class but go race the kiddy class as you call it and see how easy it is. Pretty sure Jett never went undefeated in that class. Wink

No.  Deegan is amazing, but he's not js7 2004 on the 125, by any metric someone wants to use.

Having said that,  he's still an animal on a bike and is going to win some outdoor races this season.

He generally annoys the shit out of me but you can't deny the kid has a ton of talent and absolutely put in the work.  You can't fake fitness.  He's been slightly reducing the cringe this year at the races too which is nice to see but I can't imagine how bad his TikTok is though haha.  I'm definitely looking forward to outdoors to see how it all shakes out!

Probably the best regional season since RV in 07

Congrats to Deegan!

I also am happy he decided to go one more sx season in 250’s before going 450 to get himself just a little better in sx. While many didn’t like it I thought it was a good plan.

I’m curious as to what you’re referring to? RVs 07 season he won but wasn’t dominating, and there’s been some awesome seasons since then (2013 and 2014 west coast series were awesome, 2017 east coast just for the final race alone!)

I meant the most dominant regional series since 07. I think RV only lost a race maybe two

Please do not compare Jett's time in the 250s to Haiden, different competition so not comparable
