I must have missed the part where Lucas went undefeated in his rookie 450 season...

Hey, OP, you misspelled Cole Davies.

This 100%.  Cole is showing he is the next coming of McGrath in SX (said that in the other thread too).  But he needs to work on his outdoor skill set, so far, he's not even close.

It might be fair to say that Cole is to SX what Lucas is to MX in the up and coming category.  But Lucas still got whooped by Hunter at MXoN only a few months back, let's not forget what happens often when all these guys get together.  A whole bunch of them get brought right back down to earth.

We’ll see what Cole does outdoors this year. He’s finished 23rd twice, and has a 17th and a 1st for his other 2 outdoor motos lol

That's one of my favorite last two laps ever, but saying it was a whooping is a bit of a stretch.

Lots of "if's" there, obviously. If he wins MXGP, if he comes to the US. We have a clone of Jett racing over here already in Davies. Have the Coenen's come over here and ridden any sx tracks yet?

Yeah that's my concern as well. 450 SX is absolutely brutal

Yeah, he beat Jett, but saying that was whooped is a bit over the top.  As I recall, it was a last lap, last corner dive bomb that he pulled off.

And FWIW, I'm a big TG243 fan...

Not sure how familiar you are with the format but one guy was trying to preserve his country's first ever MXoN overall victory and the other was throwing all caution to the wind for a moto win.

That's not fair. Magoo is a legend, Yes, he crashed his brains out but also dominated at times.  Sacha has not shown dominating speed like his brother "yet"

Edit. although if Sacha comes to Supercross next year he might fill those Magoo shoes.ha

Jett is still the best in the world. Time will tell on Lucas

Jett went undefeated at 19.  He has also won every title season he’s completed for several years now.  Crazy to bet against Jett but…ok!

Bet against Jett, never. Hopefully he's relatively healthy come Pala to remind everyone who the man is. He doesn't even need to be 100% to win. Just like Pala last year, he was about 80% and everyone got all juiced up cause Eli was on him that whole 2nd moto. Then Jett got better and better as the summer went on and Eli wasnt even close

I was just thinking about that recently. We've got both Lawrence's in the premier class. And it seems like Cole is going to be a revelation. I'm hoping Dudney and Drew Adams can give us a couple young Americans to root for.

Lucas is flying fer sure...

But..

Second in pts is Tommy V.... who was a top 5 250 guy here... herlings roman and Timmy g are no spring chickens now days...  meaning - his comp isn't really flying right now.... kinda like the cringe lord in 250 west... easy to win and look good when you have less than stellar competition...

I don't know. His style looks pretty good to me. I think he will do well in SX, but he should not start his career in the USA with SX IMO. Not sure if little brother's style will work for SX, though.

8 out of the top 11 have a world title but yeah less than stellar.
Tom has had a great start to the season but others have had a ton of bad luck. Realistically he'll probably end up 6-7th in points when it's all in said and done

Not what we heard after Zolder 2004.

Think about if Kawasaki had been smart enough to let Prado come here and start with the Nationals instead of pushing him to ride SX right away? Things probably would have been very different. He may still be with the team.

When Coenen comes over, he had better do that. KTM should be smart enough to allow it after what happened with Prado.

Help me out, what happened at Zolder 2004? I kinda forget some stuff after 22 years.

RC beat Everts individually. Belgium won the team contest. Everyone on Vital (Mototalk?) said the individual result was all that mattered.

Vialle will certainly not finish 6/7th overall at the end of the 2026 season (if healthy)!
