He looks unreal these past two weekends. And with how good he looks now and Hunters crash and Tomacs slump, he might be a contender again. I'm a believer

Roczen has been the fastest rider on the track the past two weeks and has turned his -31 points deficit into a -14 points deficit tonight. Here's the real kicker:

There's still 6 rounds to go…

Man I've counted him out. He's back. He's also pissed that people say he fades late in the season

Definitely a three way battle, maybe even four (low odds). Kenny looks fantastic!

Roczen is sharp this year. I’m very happy to see him back to being himself again.

After last week I was thinking Roczen might get back into the title fight, but with the others having bad nights and Sexton being in the mix, he’s leapt forward faster than I could have hoped. Love to see it.

HUnter fan and i want him to win still but im not going to be mad if Roczen got it done. If theres a rider without a 450 sx title that deserves one, its him.

Ken would be a lot closer in points to Tomac if Hunter hadn't of taken him out at Seattle.  I know it was an accident,  and Hunter apologized,  but I'm just saying. Ken is looking really on his game right now.

Kenny could win all 17 rounds and I’d be just as pumped as the first win.

If Suzuki had Electric Start and he would be a handful of points outside of the lead.

Possibly debatable, but the changes to add electric start may make it where they didn't get the bike to have whatever feeling it is that he has and clearly likes.

I've always thought since about 2006 to 2008ish, the bikes get revamped too quickly. Sure the fuel injection and e-start are nice but aside from that, not much tech has changed. Compare 1980 to 2000 models and the jump they took compared to 2006 to 2026.

Sometimes new isn't always better and its been proven over and over. With that said though, I dont know where I'd draw the line on revamps. If the bikes are winning at the highest levels, it is dang sure still good enough for the consumers.

I still think back to his wreck in 2017 (damn it's been almost 10 years!) when it seemed like his career might be over. Even though I'm a diehard team Green guy, I can't help but damn near get choked up with how happy and proud I am of him to overcome such a massive injury and still pull out wins. This dude was on the brink of having his friggin arm amputated 9 years ago, he's out there riding a kick-start Suzuki, and yet still able to pull out the fastest qualifier and/or take the win on any given night. Truly inspirational.  I can't really root much for Sexton or Marchbanks to put a Kawi on top so I find myself rooting for Kenny every weekend instead.

Not sure that’s true. Kenny had the option of electric start on the RMZ. IIRC it was Panthera Motorsports that built the kit for him to try. He didn’t like the way the bike handled with it on there. The bike being kick start is 100% his choice. Watching the way he can pivot that thing and rocket out of corners, I don’t disagree with it. Nobody on the gate can turn as sharp or as fast as Kenny and his RMZ, it’s incredible

It deserves its own thread but I would have to say Kenny is the greatest "What If?" in the history of the sport. He got hurt when he was 23yrs old. 23!! A year older than Jett, for christs sake. I really wasn't even a fan of him back then, I rooted for Eli more. But when I think back we were robbed of even seeing him at his prime. The only other "what if" that could possibly beat it would be RJ. I believe he was 25 when his wrist got broken. We at least saw RJ in his prime

Not to hijack this thread but I have to add when talking about all-time "what if's" I immediately put Forkner at the top of that list. The only rider I've seen able to put it to Jett but needed to back it down 1-2% to keep it on 2 wheels.

Sorry guys - let's keep it focused on Kenny. We can start a whole other thread on "what if's" but that horse I'm sure has been beat to death lol.

I know! It deserves its own thread lol. Hard not to pull for Kenny to get this done. I think Hunter just has an edge in several areas of his game to be beaten.  Great season!

It’s amazing how well he’s done on the “outdated” RMZ.

Kenny in 17 is the third biggest what if IMO after 89 RJ and 79 Hannah.

I agree.  Its alright to cry a little to brother.

That antiquated RMZ does just fine.

Lack of electronic start hurts if you stall the bike..

But...

Every other millisecond on the track -  electric star actually hurts your lap time...

-5 is nothing. He has the momentum. Now it is his to lose despite not having the actual red plate.

-31 to -5 in 2 weeks?

If Roczen can do this thing, I think it would be the biggest points comeback to win a championship.

Man, he’s looking so dialed right now and he is good on dry/slick tracks as well… I just can’t believe it might finally be happening. Let’s freakin’ go dude.
