Yup, k-dub ran the factory bike and then went to the Geico 450 in 08 when he started running a PC exhaust instead of the Yosh he was running before. Windham and Travis Preston both rode 450s for Geico in ‘07, but ran different exhausts.

I was surprised how immature Jett was, but then realised he is only 22! He's still a fucking baby. Our apprentices at work are around that age and its like having literal kids on the work site and they seem to speak a different language. So I give him a bit of lee way. Still seems like a nice dude, just gotta tone down the 'flexing' a bit. It got hard to listen to as an Australian.

I think the best Lawrence interview I've heard was when Dazzy and the boys were on Whiskey Throttle back in the 250 days. They have such a great story. I'm a big Jett fan from his riding to personality, but that was meh.

As an Aussie myself I'm with you man. I don't mind Jase and I like the pod but this was a stark reminder that Jett is still a kid. I couldn't get through it. He's not the best at expressing himself that's for sure.

I'm a fan of Jett, watching him ride is amazing and he's a good dude. However, at 22 years old, he doesn't have enough life perspective to make a 3 hour podcast interesting. I look forward to that podcast in about 10 years.

Fuck this shit talk pisses me off, I’m keen to see some good racing and with haiden and Jett both in it the racing will be good.
I like Jase but he just doesn't get it that no one gives a shit about his stories, I understand he's trying to make the conversation flow and keep it two sided but absolutely no one cares about the time he rode at Glen Helen, not the viewer, not the guest, probably not even his wife. He constantly name drops people trying to sound cool or relevant but it's really not a flex. His quality of guests is top tier though and why I keep gritting my teeth like drinking a shit beer to get through them
Ferrandis won the 450 title two years prior against Tomac and Roczen. Chase was the reigning SX champion and only missed 3 races of outdoors. Roczen and Webb were also up front in the races they raced in, Roczen being a two time MX champion and Webb was a race winner. It might not of been the most stacked field ever but none of those guys were pushovers. It’s obvious you don’t like the Lawrence family but to downplay their competition is completely disingenuous.

I think he's pretty balenced with his takes on the Lawrence's. He doesn't hate on them or gush over them. Its not a wild take to say the field wasn't at its strongest when Jett went 22-0. Many have said it. Its still an insane achievement. If we wanna play that game, who was James biggest competition? Alessi until he played speed bump at Red Bud. Then Andrew Short and Tim Ferry? When a guy is on the shelf its easy to forget who the man is. Jett will remind everyone this summer
Being reminded that's hes still just a kid makes it even more perplexing how good he is on a bike. Is it just straight up natural talent? Where does the immaculate technique come from? Because he had it before Johnny O.
From what I understand he doesn't think too much about riding etc. He just does it. It makes sense why Hunter is a better tester. Hunter is the thinker and Jett just does. Strange.
I’m not sure your averages are correct. It’s almost like the biggest names in the sport get the most views. If people were tuning in for Jase, he wouldn’t have episodes like this:

Views is a partial story. This is aggregate over views and listens across platforms (Spotify, apple, YouTube.)
Not sure how GT having interesting guests from other sports diminishes my point, which was simply refuting the idea that “everyon” hates Jase and doesn’t ever want to hear him talk at all.
The dynamic Jase creates with his guests has made his the largest moto podcast with the best guest list. Obviously it’s not for everyone but dude is doing something right.
