What was the other brand name that was just Scott rebranded goggles?

They had the same patent number printed on the frames.

So, just to be clear…

We’ve gone from someone saying that Scott is leaving moto to Scott actually spending more money as a Team Sponsor on a popular 250 team?

Oh, ok.

It must just be another day on the Interwebsthingy. 🤣

Scott is a huge Motocross Goggle market leader distributed by just about every USA distributor so it is doubtful that they drop a successful program.

Psssst…

I had very early SPY goggles that still had the SCOTT imprint on the frame.

Gave them to my SPY rep when we received them.

This rumor has been circulating within the industry people I know. I was surprised to see them teaming up with ClubMX.

But then again, MC is still wearing Spy goggles.

I have owned/ worn dozens of brands over the years. Lots have came and gone. Scott is the oldest goggle company that I’m aware of. Hopefully they don’t step away.

If they are that easy to pop out then I don’t trust them when a rock smacks the lens. No thanks.

You by far have the worst takes on this site. Airbrakes take all of 15 seconds to change out the lense. Go back to your mxbikes discord.

Not sure about the current times, but i know about 4 years ago SCOTT was the only goggle still being made here in America.  I chose to wear SCOTT just because of that

I know it's an issue for many, but the lens mounting system is the least of my concerns and I will continue to run Scott goggles as long as they're around. They fit my face and I've never accidentally pulled a whole stack of laminates... Really can't beat that 4 post system for the tear offs imo.

I tried a few competitors in 2024 and went right back to Scott.

You also couldn't pay me to wear Armegas... I'm sure it's just a me problem, but for the short time I tried them my nose felt pinched and my eyes felt like sandpaper after every moto. No amount of adjustment kept dust or sand out.

Now, if Oakley made their original "O" Frames from the '80s, I'd be all over that.

Those O frames were the best thing since sliced bread.

They are referring to Scot Steffy the man behind Viral Brand goggles. Good dude and they were good goggles.

Scott roll off film for prospects had been really hard to find in stock anywhere for awhile now.  I called them and they said more would be coming in 26. 🤷‍♀️ New system doesn't work near as good as the good old Scott 89.  Wish they still made those!!!

I think they have been made in Austria and the US for a while. I have some 2.0 sand/dust that were made in June 2024 in the US.

Any updates? I see less and less colors available at retailers including the Scott Sports site and a couple of weeks ago in SX some of their riders were running colors from a few years ago. RMATV isn't showing standard tear offs available anymore either.

No real news other than waiting for inventory.  Looks like end of the month from what I see.  I know they have a bunch of new colors dropping soon too.

I am looking forward to this. They are my favorite goggles so I want them to stay around.

I somehow successfully work on his own bikes the lens swap on prospects are still super annoying. But they fit my nose too damn well.

I just have a clear lens pair, sunny day pair, and a overcast pair lol

Have you tried the 2.0 yet? I think the lens swap is a little easier on the new frame.

When Scott first introduced hte Prospects had to move away because they didn't fit well in my Moto 9.  Crappy lense change system helped that decision.  I then fount a killer deal on some Airbrakes and my mind was blown and they fit great.

With the ridiculous price Oakley's and Fox Vue's lately, I found a killer deal on some Prospects and Fury's at my local shop so decided to try them.  The Furys fit so well!  The Prospects also fit better now that I'm not wearing a Bell anymore.  Lense changes still suck but not that bad as long as I don't go look at my Airbrakes.  The face foam of the Scott's also has to be the most plush around.

went to google, I will have to try a set. When we got Scott at our shop I got so many pairs I haven't even thought of another pair or paid attention to the fact that we have 2.0s lol

Yes. They have a little more room for your nose and flipping the outriggers all the way forward releases the lens lock pins now. You don’t have to grab that little bit of plastic and pull now to get the pins out of the lens. At first I wasn’t sure they were all that much better but once I swapped a couple of lenses it seemed easier to line up the lens than the 1.0 version. It is easier to get the lens out but I never had much trouble with that.

I just wanna know how often people are swapping lenses? Is this every other ride or what?

I cannot stand dirty lenses and can make a lens last a long time (40hrs?)
