Good to know! I thought it was a subtle dig at another fella that likes to stick his tongue out at the end of the interview each time.

I wish they would’ve shown a little more of him in the main. The clips they did show blew my mind. Like someone else said, when he passed Adams it looked like he was standing still.

He won multiple races last year, including the showdown

I’m an idiot. I’m talking a “regional title” win I know I only said win. But just like deegan he needs to get a full season. Mx/smx/sx before anyone talks about him and a 450 if they want to play it smart.

To add to this I think if he can win this year and follow Deegans career path so will the time of him moving to 450.

If you ever get a chance to experience the culture or dive into some history. 10/10 recommend.

Kid is crazy good. Your post did make me think how Hunter, Phil, and the little people were talking about the difference between the 250 and 450 when attacking whoops on Pulp last night.

Might be the most talented period, since James. Looks like Fonseca crossed with McGrath.

Really wish we got to see more of him in the main. Those few clips were incredible. These stats are crazy. Hell of a talent.

Is it similar to that cringey haka thing Maori people do?

From one night? Or was he consistently like this throughout last year? I know he had the all around speed but don’t remember him being this much better than everyone in only the whoops.

Truth be told and from what I understand is Ben was a coach of Coles early on? Similar case to the Lawrence brothers.  The ability away from everyone to grow and harness your skill while growing confidence.  In America, its all about intensity and many forgot about technique until recently. Cole is amazing to watch with the unique way he works the bike with his legs and core then follows through with the hands.  I am a large fan of his and hope he continues to grow as a racer and stay injury free.  The wins/titles will come

It isn’t about scaring anyone. It’s about pride, mana, and cultural respect. Something you are clearly lacking.

Matched the eye test too, he was flying through them. The fact he was still blitzing with how beat they got too was impressive.

I’m just talking about his riding style and overall speed.

I'm pretty sure they started all that in the beginning to intimidate an opposing tribe, or to show the gods how badass they are, or some shit like that. Now, in modern times, it's just cringe af. Just because something is cultural doesn't mean it's off limits to ridicule. Think I've seen them doing these rituals in congress or some government setting, get the fuck outta here with your barbaric bs. It's childish.

Before his shoulder injury he was fast as heck last season. He was running with Deegan. You could tell last season he had immense talent. Wasn't last year his rookie season? And he won in just a few races

The haka isn’t about “scaring people”.  it’s about identity, unity, grief, respect, and history.
Reducing it to “tongue and crazy dance” is just proof you’ve never bothered to understand anything outside your own bubble.
Funny how Indigenous cultures expressing pride is “cringe,” but military flyovers, flag worship, and chanting a country’s name isn’t. The haka has meaning, lineage, and restraint.
Your comment is just insecurity dressed up as confidence.

But again. comparing NZ culture to Americans culture isn't fair..  A country that idolises paedophilia and satanic rituals like America is much more intimidating. especially in modern times. That LA lifestyle is far more cringy tho.

Imagine living in Maple Valley, Washington...on Indigenous land... and calling Indigenous ceremony “barbaric.”

Get on YouTube and Watch a haka done at a funeral, wedding or a pōwhiri. See if that changes your perspective. It’s not what you think it is.

Better than making the sign of a medieval torture device to "give glory" to your imaginary friend on the podium.

Yes it was. And there’s no doubt about his speed but he needs to do as everyone else does and string it together back to back to back. I do feel like when he’s putting in his hot laps he looks the polar opposite of Deegan. Which is calm in control and like he almost always has more in the tank. Looks more like Jett outdoors than anything but inside.
