What OEM’s are looking to have “all new” 450’s/250’s for ‘27? Heard Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha and KTM are all gonna have new 450’s. I’m expecting the updated RMZ to come after Suzuki debuts their new MXGP Factory Team.
OK, where have you 'heard' this?
I heard Kawasaki is going all 2 stroke in '27
The Yamaha was updated for 2026. I can't see that changing. The 250 will probably get an update. Kawi is on the 3rd year of the 450 so it could get updated. Honda is on the 2nd year of the 450 and 25/26 are identical (even graphics) so I could see it being at least tweaked if not completely updated. Who knows with KTM after the bankruptcy. 2027 could be orange frames with the 109db exhaust and intake updates seen on the Gasgas and FE models. I think the KTM FE for 2027 will be completely new. Everyone should have been planning for 109db updates.
I said this in the other thread but I’m fairy confident Lewis said new kawi coming next year.

Beta will have a 250 team in sx in 2027
From what I've gathered on vital...
Beta - it looks like they will be bringing a 250f out for 2027.
Ducati - I haven't seen anything. I would assume tweaks to the 450, maybe 250? Delusionally hopeful they drop news about a 350...
Gas/Husqvarna/KTM - there were those photos of a prototype test bike, so maybe 2028?
Honda - I believe the bike they're riding in mxgp is the new model, so I would assume the CRF450 gets an update
Kawasaki - like someone above said, I'm pretty sure I read/heard in a video from Lewis that they'll be getting updated.
Suzuki - my guess, bold re-used graphics. I hope I'm wrong. I would love to see something new from suzuki.
Triumph - haven't heard anything, so I would assume nothing?
Yamaha - just updated, so probably just the 250 if anything.
Suzuki needs to keep the frame, update the suspension, new motor, and PLEASE same bodywork/platics.
Yamaha 250 is going to be all new
Ducati limited release 250 by early summer.
2026 is the 1st year that no manufacturer has made a change from their 2025 hose designs.
So Judging by years of change in the past they are all due for changes.
KTM will have the new cable clutch !
Would be an easy option for them to sell.
Or they're all going electric, no radiator necessary.

LOL... i needed a good laugh today
By next year he means 2028 model which will be launched end of summer 2027 usually right around Loretta’s
You would all be faster and have more fun on a 47hp 09 yz 450.I know I would.
Pit Row
New riders definitely 😂
Well, they said they heard you.
Of course, that was about four-score and seven years ago when they said that...
Is every brand planning to meet the new sound standards on the showroom floor? If so, then I assume a few bikes are going to change. The YZ250F will certainly be one. I was thinking maybe both Hondas, since they could just update both, then meet the sound requirement (rather than do the 250 in '28.) I dunno, I've been wondering this.
The other thing I wonder, specifically as someone who typically buys YZ250Fs, supposedly rumors of a new motor (since the '26 engine is essentially the '21 with a beefed up cam chain.) And while that is exciting, seeing how loud that bike is now, what is going to happen once it has all of the baffles and whatnot, in place? The'26 450 dropped 3 hp. Not a bad thing on that bike, but on the 250F that is obviously a bigger deal.
I believe the db rule applies in am racing as well so I think all manufacturers will have to comply
Wonder what'll happen when they start adding easily removable baffles in the intakes and stuff to mitigate sound. People will just remove them lol.
I'm not sure if that was supposed to be in reference to what I said, I assume so. But I thought it was a fair question. 3hp drop on a 450. If the 250 is anything similar, that's a lot to get back. And "easily removeable" is down-playing it quite a bit. Swapping to prior the airbox is common on the new 450. Plus, I am pretty sure if the new exhaust is similar, it will require a full system to open up, not just a muffler. Then factor in the gearing change and other small things. Point being, a lot of Vet guys were buying YZ250Fs and really not needing to do much with a stock bike (especially on the 21-23.) Maybe add a Vortex and be happy. Now if you need to swap airboxes, full exhausts and re-gear, just to get back to the prior starting point, that is going to potentially take those bikes off of the table for a lot of people. It's almost not worth it. Just get the 450, I guess. So I was interested. I think it's a legit question or discussion but I guess that's probably the response I should've expected instead 👍
All these noise issues go away if they go back to 2-strokes.
Just an expensive, failed 30 year experiment at this point. Time to admit it was done to make a lot of money but created a lot of problems in the process and now it's time to go back to the future. 👍
I heard suzuki is going electric start 3 stroke for 2027.
I expect a Honda RX and a Kawasaki X with 6 speeds and higher crankshaft inertia.
“Something big is coming, sometime, down the road, one day”
Honda has the six speed x model, but it takes wider cases and frame, that's why they haven't updated the x or L model. I believe that's why Yamaha keeps the 5 speed wide ratio in the 450fx/wr so they don't have to have a specific case/frame for the off-road models. Personally I like the wide 5 speed, less shifting and each gear pulls longer. A six speed would have the same top gear ratio, but each gear would be closer together so you'd have to shift more. 250's that's okay but a 450 you should be able to pull wide ratios and use the engines torque.
would love a six speed RX, not going to happen. Honda says if you want 6 speeds we make the X. That's how Honda rolls. But, with so many of us wanting it, maybe a wide ratio 5 speed? Hopefully
