Not sure if that Monster pin on the lapel has anything to do with it, but the guy should be up there battling for wins, whether it’s a heat or a main. Saying he “looks comfortable” when he’s 6th in a heat, later saying he’s “looking good” when he’s 10th in the main…

No idea who covers the cost for the announcers but whoever it is needs to actually invest in their product.
Historically they just throw guys in the booth and let them have at it. They obviously give them no coaching, invest no time in helping them articulate their thoughts etc it’s just dumb luck if the guy they pick is any good.
RC is way better than he was but, oh my, he’s still a long way off. The girl just needs to be gone she brings absolutely nothing to the table.
“They” need to look at the broadcast crew from F1TV and strive to hit that level, even if they got half way there the whole deal would be a thousand times better.
Being a super fan has no age barriers, but I will tell you who is acting like a bunch of teenage drama queens..

I hear you and agree 100%. I don't like Ricky and wish he'd be replaced during an entire production overhaul but, there are bigger fish to fry in life. That said..
I don't watch any stick and ball sports, Olympics, or anything else really except various forms of dirtbike racing and some ufc/bkfc. Watching this "show" is like having a Lamborghini in the garage with a blown engine, massive rusty dent in the door, and bald tires. It's great, but falls massively short and even tho there's a Lambo in the garage it's of very limited use in it's condition.
I understand the complaints get old but every weekend the race is on is like walking out to the garage and being excited over the Lambo you own but can't drive.

My annoyance meter was higher than usual last night with Miss Chatty Mouth.
At one point we had some particlularly fantastic battling going on while she's simultaneoulsy on one her long azz drawn out useless stories on how she talked to someone before the race. I admit to being inspired by folks here and actually turned down the volume while she was yammering on...she was just a huge distraction while a great part of the race was unfolding.
She'd be kinda ok if they limited her babbling to when there's no racing happening, but mix her long winded stories with racing on the track and it's a big no go for me.
Or maybe even zero. Since you can win an smx title without winning the series, as deegan did, then smx is just a three race micro series, which did not exist when rc was racing. The coombs are trying to take rickys achievements and use them to give their stupid playoff thing the merit that it does not deserve.
I agree with that. I’ve noticed the same, he tries to explain what we can all see with our own eyes. James does a good job of breaking down bike setup and what he sees in the riders technique and bike mechanics

How does objecting to misuse of the phrase “beast mode” amount to “throwing shade” at Tomac? It’s not criticism of Tomac; rather, It’s criticism of the announcer’s use the term.
Nobody should aspire to being what you describe as a super fan - it sounds pathological.

I like RC more as an announcer in the booth than I did as RC as a racer.
We live in a generation of entitled kooks who have no idea how to overlook something they don't like
on the contrary, we tolerate WAY too much as a society. RC has profited greatly from meritocracy. live by the sword, die by the sword.

Not a huge fan of RC, but he has absolutely gotten better in the booth, especially the last 2 years, and is now acceptable IMO. At the beginning it was bad, but now it's on par.

Exactly! The problem is, this type of analysis is what he should be giving us pretty much every lap, not once a night. Right now it's "whooooaa" 95% of the time, it's useless.
The "redemption tour" thing has already gotten old.
